Chef Adrian Moor has been active catering events in the San Diego North County area and has become a bit of a regional culinary phenomenon. His food pairing at the Chuck Alek Brewery Summer Release party was no less than magical with an inspired 4 course meal all freshly served from the most basic and impromptu of kitchens set up in the parking lot, yet the items like braised poor cheeks, ceviche and tiramisu were all unique, eclectic and inspired — more importantly, delicious. Recently, chef Moor pops in to Chuck Alek on the odd Saturday or Sunday selling his signature BBQ brisket, inspired from his years honing his craft in San Antonio, where BBQ is a way of life. I enjoyed his Brisket sandwich at the brewery yesterday and it sure tasted good with an oatmeal stout. Chef Moor is also running a roadside food stand in Julian when the local weather is cooperative. It’s located on weekends at the Catholic Church parking lot as «Hill Country BBQ». If I see an event where chef Moor is serving, you can bet I’ll be there to experience his artistry in cooking.
