A true piece of paradise… We’ve been renting The Artist Loft from Chuck and Nan for over 6 years now. We usually come in the spring with the abundance of flowers blooming, birds chirping and the air crisp enough to have a roaring fire in the stove. Every need is met when you walk in with lovely music on the stereo, fresh baked bread, farm fresh eggs and cream. The kitchen has all the spices, cookware and utensils one could need. We just make a trip to the grocery store for the meals we’ll cook and OFCOURSE stop for a fresh baked apple pie in Julian. This is not a hotel — it is a well-tended and loved home all to yourself with peace and quiet. The wild turkeys walk by in the morning and if you love spying deer then you’re in for a treat as we’ve never had a trip without many visits from these beautiful creatures. We love it here and the hosts — always so warm and welcoming.

Pictures do not do this cabin justice. It is the coziest place I have ever set foot in. My only advice is to check in over an hour before sunset. The owners take much pride in this cabin, and I don’t blame them. With that said, your tour of the cabin will take about an hour long and it will be very disappointing to miss the beautiful sunset. We will be back again for another wine tasting and famous Julian pie :)
