Auto Craft Collision Repair

I have a Chrysler 300 with a pearl finish. It was parked when it was hit by a truck. At the recommendation of my Insurance company, I took it here for repairs. I doubted that they would be able to match the paint after they completed the repairs. When I picked it up after it was repaired, I was completely amazed that the paint job was perfectly matched. They did a great job, and I am completely happy with their work.

After hitting a deer we brought our van into this shop. Within 9 days we had it back and that was over the Thanksgiving weekend! I was very happy with the work. It looked like nothing ever happened. Everything worked/​ran great! Even our after market assessories weren’t a problem. What even impressed me more was that when I opened the door to get my car seats put back in, they had cleaned and vacuumed out the whole van! They also set up a future touch up detail to fix some minor scratches on the outside! My van came back not only fixed but even better than it was before! Very satisfied!

Final result:
Got rear-​ended. My insurer wanted to use LKQ (like kind & quality, aka copy-​cat parts NOT made by the manufacturer) parts for the repair. I demanded new OEM parts, insurer said no so I was considering withdrawing the vehicle and preparing for court. AutoCraft found an OEM dealer that price-​matched the LKQ parts, got me OEM. Kudos for going out of their way to make the customer satisfied. Unfortunately, the same couldn’t be said of the quality of work. The new bumper that they put on had a small nick on one of the corners. Could’ve been repaired but I guess they overlooked it. Not acceptable when your business is rooted in the appearance of a vehicle. The bumper cover also required a cut-​out for a hitch. The new one looked like it had been done by a Kindergartner with some Fiscars safety scissors. They also replaced the rear hatch, but when they placed the glass on it, it was slightly crooked. Within the hatch are pre-​cut holes to allow moisture to drain. There are one-​way covers for these holes that were there before the repair, and the rep made seem like they were unnecessary. If that were true, why does the manufacturer put them there in the first place then? So I made a stink about it and in the end, had to find the same model of vehicle at a local car lot, drive it to their shop, and show them what I was talking about. They got the covers, but it shouldn’t have taken all that work for me to prove it. All I wanted was my vehicle to be like it was pre-​accident. Every time I brought something up, the rep claimed the repairs were «to industry standard», but when asked to show me what this standard was, he couldn’t produce. That’s because there is no «industry standard.» Yes, they offer a lifetime guarantee on repairs, but what exactly does that mean? That they’ll let a 2^nd-​grader at my bumper with some better scissors? No thanks. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere, as should you if you really care about your vehicle’s repairs.
