The Eugene Register Guard wrote an excellent article calling attention attention to this gem right in our backyard in Junction City. Dieter from Germany, and his wife Fridah from Kenya, have owned this vineyard since the early eighties. In their industry, they are sought out by other wine makers to purchase their grapes, known for their and impeccable and fine care of their vines. It’s a beautiful place to visit, with it’s scenic venue, and they have something delicious for every palate. From riesling, pinot gris, sauvignon blanc, and rose, to Zauberberg pinot noir, and their unique and European-tasting Huxelrebe, you really can’t go wrong. I am not a dessert wine fan, yet their Huxelrebe is my most favorite wine in the area! Fridah is a most gracious and entertaining host at her monthly African Night event, with various music and dance performances from local artists, and her favorite foods from her homeland. If interested, it’s a really good deal to sign up for their free wine club membership, getting 50% off of the price of the event, on top of reduced prices for wine.
