Cute little 7 table place, friendly service, and good food. The cabbage that came with the plate was wonderful!
We will be back!

Family came here for the first time for dinner at 630 on a Monday. We had the Jerk chicken, Brown stew chicken, and spicy wings. All the food was plentiful and spicy but tastefully so. The service and other clientele were friendly. Seriously great food and the cornbread is amazing.

I had the Curried chicken, with rice and cabbage and side order of grilled plantains. It was a late® dinner for me but I was very surprised to find the jewel of a restaurant empty when I arrived at 630 pm. The service was fast and friendly and the food was hot and delicious.

Calling the food delicious would be an understatement. I wouldn’t need to think twice about returning for an amazing meal.

The jerk chicken and shrimp curry was delicious. The plantains were as well. The food was HOT and by that I mean temperature, not spicy. If you dislike cold food, you won’t have to worry here.
We also noticed several people stopping by to buy «meat pies» that were in a display case. We bought one beef and one chicken to go and enjoyed them for breakfast the next day. We will definitely be back as we can’t wait to try some other dishes we saw on the menu.

This place is AMAZING!!! Me and my family went here a little before 9pm and they still took our order! The food is fresh and DELICIOUS!!! The curry goat was so good, all the flavors were there, and very tender. My husband got the brown stewed chicken, and that was very good. The meals come with rice and peas (beans) and seasoned cabbage, we also got a side or plantains (which were double delicious).
The servers were very nice and made conversation. We were really lucky that they served us, and after closing hours too! My mom got the curry shrimp, and that’s a winner also. The shrimp were fresh and well seasoned, AMAZING!!! Before we leave Kansas we will be going back to get more! I’m sure everything else is as good as what we tried. I’m going to try the patty when we go back!

If you are looking for something different, plz give them a try! I went any tried the curry goat! Not sure what to expect, it was amazing. Very flavorful and tender. Would recommend to anyone willing to try some out of the ordinary.

Best kept secret in JC. I ordered the jerk chicken dinner which came with rice and beans and cabbage. It was delicious and authentic! The restaurant is clean and felt like a little peice of Jamaica. They also have assorted Jamaican sodas which us cool.

I looked at the reviews and decided to try this place. The jerk chicken and cabbage was good but rice tasted old. My smaller kids ate chicken fingers and when they were on the last one. My son told me his chicken was chewy. It was raw in the middle. The lady at front took it back and cooked a new one, she was very nice but never apologized. Son had a stomach ache into late nights.

Two of us went for dinner on a Monday around 5:30pm. When I asked about the fish on the menu she mentioned they had a red snapper too, which I chose. Her response «it will take a bit longer because we have to cook it.» I hope so! So I presume she meant it was frozen because it’s Kansas, but it came perfectly cooked and delicious. My only gripe was that it took about an hour before we actually got our food. My friend had the jerk chicken dinner and it was also pretty tasty. Dinners come with a scoop of rice and red beans and choice of side. I had collards, mmm. He had the cabbage (stew?) it was yummy. Most patrons call in their orders. I paid $ 14 and change for the snapper dinner. Thumbs up for Junction City food options!

We went there because my mom had bought some kind of gift certificate or groupon thing. The food was very good, and the lady, who was the only employee we saw, was nice. But, when we went to pay, we were severely overcharged. We tried to question it, but the lady just acted dumb, and spent about 20 minutes on an adding machine. Also, she kept saying that the certificate didn’t cover this or that, though it didn’t say it. Finally, we gave up because we had been there so long by then. The food tasted really good, but probably won’t be back because we all felt ripped off.

First time for me to eat plantains and I have to say, these were delish! The service was cordial and the food plentiful! My curry shrimp was wonderful and my husbands kingfish was very tasty!
This place is definitely worth the expedition to find as it is a bit off the interstate.
From the outside it looked like a hole in the wall but once inside it is very colorful and a fun place! The server was a happy woman of obvious Caribbean heritage and very friendly. She made us feel welcome and we enjoyed our meal!

It is truly hard to find food other than American and Mexican in small cities… I had Oxtail and it was very good. Loved the plantains!!!

The food was actually decent, but when I paid for my food and tried to use a coupon they told me I couldn’t it was dine in only. No where on the coupon does it say that and I’ve had the same coupon from other restaurants that say dine in only. Then the women working there went and got the same coupon from her office that says dine in only. She said she doesn’t know why they stop printing it on there. That would have been even more reason for them to honor my coupon. I ordered $ 40 worth of food and thought I was getting $ 25 off. I was a bit annoyed and was about to just leave without the food and paying, but I was hungry! lol. Never going back again service is not up to par.
I ordered the oxtails, curry chicken and jerk chicken. It was all pretty good and seasoned well. When the guy took my order I told him the main courses and he just walked away. He didn’t even let me pic my sides or asked if I wanted white rice or rice and peas. But whatever. never going back again.

The place is nice and quaint. The service is good. The portion size is good however the curry chicken taste more like stew chicken, lacking the curry taste. My daughter had the curry shrimp and fries and the same goes for the curry, lacking in taste. The plate was full of fries with about six medium size shrimp.

A quiet hole in the wall, I was excited to try this place. The chicken curry reminded me of my mother’s homemade curry and my boyfriend ordered the goat curry and it was delicious as well. The food came with a side of cabbage and rice and beans which also had great flavor. We ordered a side of fried plantains which had a nice golden exterior and were perfectly sweet. The prices were reasonable, especially for their lunch special. Don’t let the location or exterior throw you off, negril is a nice break from the usual junction city fare.
