The Alaskan Fudge Company definitely cured my sweet tooth when I was visiting Juneau, Alaska for the day. They had a huge variety to choose from and you could watch them make the fudge while you were in the shop. After I stopped here I went on a whale watching tour for a few hours. I got a little hungry on the boat so I pulled out my fudge and the rest of the passengers were jealous.

If you’re a fan of chocolate, especially fudge, this is your place. I’ll be honest, I didn’t get any chocolate myself, since it’s all dairy based, but my friends purchased a few goodies and loved them. Plus this is one of the few places that’s open during the off season, so enjoy! I purchased their tasty popcorn! It was $.75 for a small & $ 1.50 for large and they make it fresh there in one of those popcorn machines, so it was GOOD-GOOD!

Pricey but so very worth it. Their penuche is otherworldly.

Did someone say fudge? I’m always a sucker for fudge… especially on vacation. The fudge always calls my name and I can’t get away. I am completely fine with that! It’s a cute little local store with many varieties to choose from. They also offer other varieties of chocolates and treats. I chose the Glacier Bay Walnut Fudge. It was so fresh and decadent. I loved the maple flavor of the fudge combined with the many walnuts in my slice. Their fudge is very rich but worth the calories. The service here is good. The girls working hard behind the counter are friendly and very helpful. They do a great job here and would recommend getting a treat here any day!

I’ve never tried the fudge, but their chocolates are good, also, their chocolate covered rice krispies treats! Yum!

that lady was soooo rude at the counter… old lady, probably the owner. did NOT want to sample out anything. so tell me, how can you run a business by being so damn cheap??? everything i wanted to sample, she didnt have. even though the cases were full. i guess because that stupid lady was so rude that no one would ever go there again… you can find better stuff around juneau, you just have to look… and i would give them negative stars, but you cant. unfortunately.

Don’t like fudge or sweets? Sorry but the Alaskan Fudge Company will change your mind! First of all the service is out of this world. Phillip has been working here forever and a day(literally) and always greets everyone with a huge smile. I moved away from Juneau in 1998 but EVERYTIME I visit again I visit the AFC! The display is full of fresh fudge cut ready for order and other finger size or snack size treats. I am NOT a sweets person but I cannot deny myself fudge from here. The fudge is smooth and creamy and after you stand and watch for awhile you will see why. There is a lot of effort and love put into each batch. It is made right in front of you which is awesome even for locals. They have an assortment of chocolates(including sugar free or no sugar added options) and the location is always clean. They will package your box for shipping and always make sure that customers are happy. Everything is by the pound and no it isn’t cheap really but for good quality I will always pay. My favorites are the Inside Passage(peanut butter going through chocolate) and Mendenhall Mud as well as the Mocha(if you can catch when they make a special double chocolate mocha it is to DIE for)… Mom likes the staples of chocolate with walnuts and it is good but I don’t prefer the actual nuts in my fudge… Definitely a place to visit in Juneau!

Nice little boutique candy store in Juneau, AK. When walking inside, you will smell the fudge aromas while seeing how fudge is made and packaged. They make and sell 95% of their merchandise. The display cases are fully loaded and ready to go. We got to sample some flavors. And the workers are nice with a good knowledge of what they sell. We ended up buying brownie fudge that is suppose to be less sweet. But it’s barely a tad less sweet than the maple fudge that’s made with brown sugar. Personally I thought everything was too sweet. It would definitely give you a sugar high, and will make every dentist happy! They thrive through foot traffic. People sample and usually will buy since it’s something different. Most customers are non locals and are visiting from the cruise ships. Cool place to check out if you have young children, and/or a sweet tooth.

We love this place. We’ve been to Alaska twice and each time we’ve stopped in to get their great fudge and carmel/chocolate covered marshmallows. If you get the chance to go there you need to try the covered marshmallows!!! The best part is we can get fudge mailed to us. Great prices for great chocolate treats.

Went in and staff was anything but friendly. We asked but were told there weren’t samples and who likes to buy pounds of chocolate without first having a sample? The six of us were forced to buy a piece for $ 1.10 to try, and after eating, we promptly left. Chocolate is not worth buying and staff is simply rude.

A good stop when you are in Juneau if you want fudge(duh!), warm cookies or ice cream. The fudge is a little expensive but there is a coupon in the standard Alaska tourist guidebook/coupon book that you receive on your way to a cruise. It definitely can get busy in the first few hours when cruise ships disembark, but the service is very friendly and efficient.

We bought a $ 15 bar of fudge(dark chocolate). It was expensive, but good. Alas, we couldn’t finish it all and at least a third of it went to waste. :(

The Mocha Moose fudge is my favorite! They were all very attentive to customers wandering in and wanting to buy or ask questions.

Saw a little girl with a huge scoop of ice cream. Asked her Dad what size that was and he said it was a single. As my turn in line came up, the girl behind the counter left and a different girl took her place. I asked if I could have a sample of one of the flavors and she said«We don’t do that here». I then ordered a single cone and it was much smaller than the little girl’s. I’m sorry, but if I’m paying $ 4plus for a cone, I want a decent sized cone and I don’t want to spend my money where they’re too cheap to give out samples.

You cannot go to Juneau without going to the Alaskan Fudge Company! It is a must. It’s right downtown and you can’t miss it because you can smell the delicious fudgy aroma wafting through the streets! They have a huge selection of hand crafted fudge and other goodies. the latest one I tried was a chocolate covered marshmallow and a chocolate covered Blondie thing. that was like whipped malted milk! SOGOOD! Try one of everything:)

Their fudge is delicious. Even though, as a local, I try not to go downtown during cruise ship season, I love to go here when I am forced to do so.

I love their fudge, boxes of alaskan candy, and their adorable stuffed animals. I remember seeing two Alaskan Fudge companies, and I cannot recall if this was the location I went to. but the other Alaskan Fudge company was not too far away.. Anways my dad is a picky person, so I only buy him chocolate from my travels. I wanted something authentic and surely this was the place to go. They had delicious boxed chocolate candy filled with jam.

I love Alaskan Fudge Company! They are the #1 must-visit attraction in Juneau as far as I’m concerned. They have got an astonishing variety of fudge available, my favorites are the Motherlode Maple(maple fudge with pecan pieces) and Mendenhall Mudd(chocolate with marshmallows and pecan pieces). Every time I have gone they are super-friendly, even when I ran in 10 minutes before closing! The chocolate lollipops are also fun but what I really love(from the non-fudge department) are the giant peanut butter cups. If you are in Juneau, stop in at either their main store or the little one near the tramway. You won’t be sorry!
