Wasn’t expecting to eat here but ended up here for a meeting. First, this is definitely a sports bar. It’s located in Abacoa right next to Roger Dean Stadium. When I arrived, it seemed to be men’s night! I was the only female in there apart from the waitress’. The menu is typical, burger and wings with a few salads and oddly, pizza. I had the grilled steak salad. It was not bad and I admit the steak was cooked to my liking. However, it was nothing spectacular. Too many raw red onions for my taste. Staff were friendly and attentive, not intrusive. So that was a plus. I suspect if you go here during the spring training period, it will be busier but still ok food.

Terrible experience, ordered the spinach artichoke dip and had to send it back because it was gross and spicy for some reason. It also made me sick and I spent the next day in the bathroom. Don’t go here, there’s plenty of other places next door that have good food. It was also really expensive($ 9 for the dip)

Great atmosphere, great beer deals, great beer selection, great deal on pizza! $ 6 off after 4pm. Awesome awesome! Right across from stadium. You can drink here and get to the game, in your seat in 5 minutes!

My daughter ordered a baked potato which was not even warm and it was hard, you couldn’t mix it up. We sent it back and when it was returned they had just heated it up. She still couldn’t eat it. The manager came by & asked if it was ok. We said no & he asked if we wanted him to get a fresh one. No thank you! It was taken off our bill. I ordered the chicken Parmesan sandwich which was okay and my husband had the wings.

Food is good for sports bar. Healthy and not so healthy choices, all pretty yummy. Wait staff is super attentive and pleasant. Televisions visible from every seat, perfect for watching games.

I’ve been to JJ Mugs twice now and have had great experiences both times! Both times I have gone at off times for lunch, so I’ve had no trouble with seating or service. My family loves buffalo-anything here! I’ve tried both the buffalo chicken sandwich and last time had the buffalo chicken salad. Both were delicious! We will be back to explore the menu and the patrons more!

It’s a fun place on the inside and the servers are very nice. I like having the ability to walk to a sports bar after a ball game across the street. I only had beer and chips and salsa, but WOW. That salsa was really horrible. This is coming from someone who is fine with eating just about anything. I really do think it was from a jar; it tasted like chunky ketchup. I wouldn’t mind going back to try some entrees, but I’m definitely not getting the salsa again.

I was there to watch the first USA game for the World Cup(USA/Ghana). It seemed like a pretty average sports bar with the standard bar food menu. Three stars. However — the reason I’m bumping this up to 4 stars(instead of the A-OK 3 stars) is our server — he was totally on top of keeping our drinks filled, getting the orders correct, and getting everything out to us super fast! The place was packed and this guy was amazing. I wish I remembered his name. He was a rock star.

Gave it a one because that’s the lowest there is. We hadn’t eaten here for awhile but my wife had a coupons so we went. We got there around 1pm and ordered our food. It took 35 mins before we got it. There were only a few other people in the restaurant. Our food finally came. I ordered a blue cheese chicken salad, my wife got a patty melt. The meat was very dry. There were 2 strands of onion on it and the cheese was about the size of a nickel. The bread was so dry, she couldn’t eat it. The chicken on my salad was sliced so thin to make it look like more. Our server neve ask how things were. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

This is my favorite sports bar to go to! To watch a game, grab a couple drinks, or get a quick bite to eat. I usually sit at the bar and get served by the best bartender Brendon who is so friendly, and makes the best drinks! The burgers, the calamari, the French onion soup, fries, and even the pickles are all soooo good! Love coming here!!!

JJ Muggs is the best sports bar in West Palm Beach, I’ve been to most and this one is the best. The location is right next to the baseball park and a amphitheater with live music, making the location the best in town. I’ve had lunch there many times and have always sat at the bar, the service is great and the Philly Cheese Steak is the best. My suggestion is that you bring a friend, family or by yourself as soon as you can.

A few weeks ago I went down to Jupiter for some Cards spring training fun, and ate lunch for the second time at JJ Muggs! It’s literally right next to Roger Dean, so the location is perfect and easy. They have a ton of seating outside, but since we had already been outside for 7 hours we were ready to enjoy some AC. It wasn’t very busy both times I’ve been, but it was late afternoon so I’m sure we missed the crowd. Service is always fine, and the food is always A-OK, too. Nothing phenomenal, but the menu is huge and everything always comes out as promised. This time I ordered the gorgonzola steak salad(mixed greens, diced tomato, cucumbers, diced red onion, crumbled Bleu cheese and sliced steak.) It was okay, but I was disappointed that the«mixed greens» was mostly a bunch of iceberg. The steak was done very well though, and the salad was huge. Everyone seemed to like their food which ranged from sandwiches to wraps to wings. They offer a half-rack of ribs for $ 13 that looked amazing! This place gets the job done while you’re in Jupiter, but it’s nothing that fantastic. Consider stopping by for a quick lunch and enjoy the many choices they have!

JJ Muggs is the place to go if you are near Abacoa and looking for a sports bar. There are a ton of flatscreen TV’s tuned to every variant of ESPN… oh and the food is pretty good too. Your experience at Muggs is going to be tied to the time of year you visit. If you come between February and April, the whole of Abacoa will be swamped with people coming to town for spring training games and you’ll probably wait to get a table. The menu here is pretty standard for a sports bar: hamburgers, wings, pizza, pasta, various sandwiches. Personal favorites include the french dip and the chicken sandwich. If I were to break down my rating it would be like this: 3 stars for quality and value of food, 1 star for TVs everywhere and 1 star for consistency over time(I’ve been visiting Muggs, usually for lunch, for going on 5 years now and have never had a bad meal).

This used to be one of my favorite Spring Training stops. I’ve been coming here twice a week since 2006. Unfortunately, it’s not what it once was. I stopped in today for food and drinks after the game and was extremely disappointed, especially in the quality of the food. Everything we ordered tasted like microwaved gas station food. I think JJ Muggs is probably still okay for a beer before or after the game, but don’t bother eating here anymore.
