We went there the other day for lunch. I had the chicken pot pie, special of the day, and my husband had the southern dip. Both dishes were very good. The waitress was very nice and attentive. I would go back.

Good breakfast… as you would expect from a diner. Very friendly staff. Definitely would go again.

Unfortunately a place is only as good as its employees. I went on a busy Sunday and waited about 20 minutes for a table. No big deal, the reviews I read made me think it would be worth it. With a party of 5 we were only able to be seated when tables were pushed together. For some reason the hostess made a comment to another employee about getting in trouble if they put a chair at the end of the table. Anyway after we were seated the waiter that served us and was very rude. Like he didn’t want to be there(not my fault, quit your job if you don’t like it) When asked the ingredients on something he flat out wouldn’t tell. Causing someone in my party to order something they ended up not liking. When asked for additional condiments he said I’ll check. Never looked and never came back or mentioned it. The food was okay, the prices were fair. It’s not good enough to justify being treated poorly by employees.

Almost didn’t go here because of some of the reviews… We were greeted promptly, service and food were excellent! No complaints whatsoever. We will be back!!!

Really great food with good solid service and the ambience has the old fashioned diner feel. Great find! Enjoying the meatloaf with homemade creamed spinach and mash potatoes with gravy. Very tasty!

Okay, pretty disappointed with the turn out of this place considering the reputation they hold. Came here with my little sister on a Sunday for brunch. Lively group of people. I do like that the people who dine here are friendly, and of course locals. If only the staff could match this… First thing I hear as we wait for a table is the hostess making sour comments and complaining about how someone«shouldn’t be applying for their diner during rush hours, and that they need to realize that this is a restaurant. «First of, to the hostess, you don’t make jokes of others while you have customers around clearly listening to you. No one wants to hear your sad comments, do this away from the paying customers please? So not a great start, finally we sit. Very typical decorated diner. Nothing too special, very old fashioned. Service was tooooo slow for me. We asked for waters, and even that took forever to be served. We ordered the loaded fries to start… this is where they got saved from receiving 1 star. The fries were absolutely great. Really did enjoy the flavors, it was exactly what I wanted to taste, very filling, presented well, and hit the spot. I would so come back here again just to have the fries and leave immediately after. Our server wasn’t too pleasant either unfortunately. I then ordered the meat lovers omelette, added veggies, and cheese, with fruit, and toast. The omelette came out missing the cheese. The eggs tasted like something I could have definitely made at the house. Nothing special, nothing exciting, didn’t care to finish them either. We also ordered two milk shakes to try. I had one with vanilla and peanut butter. It was really good! I do recommend the shakes. Finally, I noticed the server, and hostess tried to redeem themselves towards the end of our visit by joking with us, and thanking us for our patience… interesting staff. Seems like only very few select foods are actually good here, and service is poor. Really hope this place can clean up its act. I probably won’t come here again unless it’s for grabbing an appetizer at the bar and leaving. Give this place a try, maybe you’ll catch them on a good day! Haha

Walked in around 3PM on a Saturday but there was no hostess. We waited, and waited, but we didn’t even see any servers. There were about four or five other tables seated but no one ever greeted us or came to the door so we left. No wonder it was so empty, obviously they must not care about greeting customers.

Used to be good. First visit since they reopened and won’t be going back. Sat at the bar as I used to, about 6 others there. Bald guy behind the counter said hi then ignored me for about 6 minutes. He wasn’t taking orders from anyone just wiping up. Then went and talked with a coworker for about 2 minutes. Never gave me a menu or asked if I wanted something to drink. I finally got up and walked to the hostess and said I guess I need to be seated at a table to get service… She took me to a table that was diirty. She at least asked if I wanted something to drink. Waiter came around pretty quickly. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with poached eggs and a side of cheese grits. Very small side of grits, very odd taste not sure what cheese they used. Had to asKimk for butter. The biscuits were dry and mealy. Not a lot compared to all the competition in the area. These owners need to go back to New York or Jersey or wherever they are from… though I have had better food and service there so not sure what’s up with these people.

I love this place. I was here a year ago and had the Southern Dip, which is a brisket sandwich. Best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant. All 6 of us reported great meals. Just across from the Jupiter Lighthouse on rte 1. It’s set up as a diner with just a view of the street. Nothing fancy with the décor. You’ll love the food and options for everyone. My 13 yo had an omelet for dinner. Went out of their way to make sure we were happy. We were!!! Go!!!

Happy to bump this to four stars as I think both the menu changes and food are improvements. Had a large cheeseburger that actually had a delicious beefy taste, with thick smoky flavorful bacon, and topped with a perfectly cooked fried egg. The included french fries were golden and crispy with creamy centers. A bit goofy to brag on a «diner» burger but it was really good. My wife had an attractive salad brimming with fresh fruit and a cup of wonderful homemade«golden» pea soup, the kind that takes hours to cook. There is skill and caring in the kitchen. Many new and interesting items for the adventurous or just plain diner fare for the rest of us. BTW: Can’t remember last time so many employees welcomed or thanked me! Nice.

This diner is a great little place. Wish their adorable little Lighthouse sign was lots bigger, I take it that«the sign police» won’t allow for a large one. The new exterior paint job/mural will help people find this spot more easily. Food is really, really good, service prompt and friendly and I love how meticulously clean it is. You can tell the owner/management team really cares. They tout many truly homemade items… sausages, corned beef, brisket, fritters, mozzarella sticks, etc. Of course they have lots of delicious sounding breakfast items too-complimented by the fact that they serve alcohol which makes for a wonderful brunch… Bloody Mary’s, Mimosa’s anyone?

Met here tonight with a group of writers sharing original work and a quick bite. We were able to enjoy the early bird special and it was a decent meal for a reasonable price. I opted for the local made sausage with sauerkraut, served with a side salad and a drink. It’s my understanding that this location is used monthly for our meetings, so I’ll be returning in the future. The proprietor seems to be very accommodating to groups needing meeting space. Breakfast on 7÷19÷15. Back with another group for a nice hearty meal after a 3 mile beach walk. The special Benedict of the day – pulled pork on roared cornbread – so tasty, I ate every bite.

Not bad!!! I thought it would completely suck but it didn’t. Hubby and I both had sandwhiches. He the cod, me the brisket sandwhich. The sandwhiches were a nice size. The French fries were super hot and crispy. Service was excellent. I left two stars out because we both noticed that the cod and brisket were out of the freezer. But overall it was not a bad place to eat!

We visited again this past Friday night while my family was in town(including my 2 year old niece). We all enjoyed our drinks and food. I had the fried chicken sandwich, which was phenomenal. I’m not sure why this diner is never busy when I’ve been there, as the food is top notch for a ‘diner’ and the service is always great! We did have a small issue with another customer being upset that she was seated by a young child that doesn’t sit silently. Instead of speaking with the wait staff, she decided to make rude comments to us. The staff witnessed the event and immediately apologized and brought out crab cakes to make up for the nasty patron. While this put a damper on the night, it was not the wait staff’s fault and they did everything possible to make amends with us. Aside from the food being amazing, we will return simply because the staff was so good to us.

Great service, nice location, this was our first visit to this well known diner. We came for dinner one night and the service was excellent from our very attentive, pleasant waiter. Although the food was tasty, it was not the best, deserving of four or five stars. My husband ordered the Brisket«from the smoke house» but he thought it was too fatty and thin. His side order of grilled vegetables was excellent! I had the Aunt Carolee’s Beef and Noodles and it was delicious in flavor. It should have been called Noodles and Beef, since the small cubes of beef were lost in the noodles. It was tasty just the same. We will return, but probably go for breakfast or lunch!

My wife Becki and I ate here about a week ago and had been here a couple of months ago also, since the new owners got it going again. Last time I got their Fried Chicken and this time Becki got it. Both times, it was totally awesome!!! You have to wait about 15 minutes, but it is well worth the wait cause it is made fresh every time! Kinda reminds me of good olé home made Fried Chicken like Mom use to make, actually, it is a lot better than Mom’s chicken, but don’t you dare tell her! Last time Becki got a wonder Blue Cheese Hamburger that she said was extra yummy and this time I got an open faced slow cooked roast beef sandwich with great real Mashed Potatoes and amazing Creamed Spinach. By the way, Becki had a side of Mac and Cheese both time and reported that is was great also! So I am glad to report that the Light House Restaurant is back and better than ever! Stop in real soon and see if you agree!

Homemade dishes, massive menu, friendly and quick service. DINERHEAVEN. Chicken soup was fresh and flavorful. Fried bologna sandwich and a Mess O’ Greens. There’s a flavor fiesta going on!!!
