I just had a very negative experience with this provider. I arrived at 11:45am for a noon initial appointment. I waited for 90 minutes before she called me back. I was starving and not happy about the wait time and expressed these things to her. She was unapologetic and simply said, «I’ve had two emergencies to deal with this morning.» Okay, that’s all fine and good, but when I tried to tell her that it was disrespectful of a patients’ time to keep them waiting that long without so much as an explanation while they’re waiting, she kept interrupting me and telling me that I wasn’t being respectful of HER time. Okaaaay, so when I tried to tell her that a good policy moving forward would be to have the office staff poke their head out and at least ACKNOWLEDGE the patient, apologize for the wait, and explain it’s due to an emergency, she opened her door and said she wasn’t going to treat me. Thank goodness! I mean, I understand that we are all human and we all have bad days, but Really, someone who calls herself a mental health professional should behave a lot more professionally than that. She of all people should know how potential patients are struggling with difficulties and she of all people should know how to show compassion and, yes, respect, for her patients. She showed none of these and for these reasons, I am grateful that she refused me care. I am now free to find someone more professional and caring.
