I’m normally a Game Stop hater. But while visiting here I stopped in to check out the selection as I just got an Xbox one(Queen K. Center). The two employees were very friendly, and were on my level and could talk games, loved it. The Game stop’s in my own city are very hit and miss, and most employees are not knowledgeable, and fairly rude. Highly recommend if you need any gaming needs in Maui!

Worst.gamestop.ever. Terrible customer service. There’s always only one person working in here and even with a line of 3 people it will take you a half an hour to check out. They act so arrogant as if they are saving lives in here or something. Customer service is the last thing on the minds of these idiots. Absolutely zero common sense with these fools. There’s zero reasons why anyone should have to deal with this non sense. Simply go right across the street to Walmart or target and get the same games at a cheaper price with none of the hassles. Gamestop has lost a customer for life due to this store and it’s awful employees. I specifically call out one employee in particular, a guy named Moses. You sir are an a$$hole and an idiot. When I told this guy he’s about to lose a customer for life, his response was«that’s ok, we’ve got plenty of others.» I’m sure the owner of this store and gamestop corporate office would love to hear that, and they will be hearing about it.

Mixed bag, workers come and go at this location. Frequenting this location since it opened some experiences were good and bad. Chris and Jasmine have been floating around the 2 Maui locations for a while and they both have given exceptional service. Some of the workers were trained well and others I’m not sure what to categorize them into. Like I said mixed bag.

Customer service severely lacking here. I’m Currently standing in line with 4 people ahead of me. The only employee behind the counter is talking on the phone to someone asking about EVERY console out right now. The proper thing to do is ask the customer on the phone to please hold while store customers are checked out OR take a phone number and call them back. I have been standing here 10 minutes and still have not checked out. Unfortunately, this is the only GameStop close… So what to do? I’m going to start ordering online. Customer Service… SEVERELYLACKING.

I can certainly understand why the last reviewer felt so frustrated with this particular GameStop given her experience but as someone who goes here often to get my fiancé gifts I just want to assure her that it most likely wasn’t personal. All the people who work here are really rather friendly and helpful. That being said I will totally admit that I will not go in here if I’m in a hurry. Everyone who works here seems to enjoy their job and they love to chat! They genuinely take their time with every customer and that might result in someone getting offended if they aren’t already familiar with the stores slower and chatty pace. We personally enjoy it. There’s a nice young guy named Mike(possibly a manager?) and I really just need to say that he always goes above and beyond for his customers. We’re always happy when we go in and see that he’s working because he’s just so darn friendly and helpful.

My husband and I entered the store and I went to the girl at the counter to ask her a question. In the middle of my question, a customer who was being helped by another employee pulled out a yellow Xbox 360 console from his backpack and she immediately cut me off and started talking to the other customer. I looked away, embarrassed, and asked her again. So she helped me, and I kindly told her thank you, and browsed around the store. After I found three games that I wanted to purchase for my son, I went to the counter that she was working at earlier and waited patiently for someone to ring me up. 10 – 15 minutes goes by and no one’s helping me. I see that she’s helping someone else so I wait patiently, until she’s finished helping them. Then she brings that person to the counter and tells me to stand behind them, that the line starts there… WTF?! So I tell myself, «screw this», and I put the games on the shelf and walk out. My husband followed me out and I told him, let’s go to Walmart(which is right behind Gamestop). We went in to Walmart, found the same games at cheaper prices, and was out of that store in less than 10 minutes. After we went to Walmart, we went to Queen Ka’ahumanu Center to eat lunch and walked into the Gamestop there, just for a quick look. The employees at this location were so nice and friendly! There was even a bigger selection of games and products! I saw another game that I wanted to get for my son and they even gave us a discount! So my advice is to go to the Gamestop located in Queen Ka’ahumanu Center. Better service and bigger selection!
