If I could rate this facility less than 1 star, I would. Horrible, terrible & my condition got worse while I was there around 2 weeks. The conditions are completely unsanitary, there was 2 small centipedes in my room that I had to try & kill while not able to walk! There is no air conditioning, they do not close the doors at night which are totally open to the outside letting in tons of mosquitoes & bugs in general. The staff that came around to clean didn’t go a good job at all! Always a layer of dirt on everything, and mind you I was here for many reasons including open wounds on legs due to complications from lymphedema, a disease their«medical staff» had never even heard of & I was supposed to be getting treated there for it! An absolute joke of a facility, I have no idea how they are allowed to operate in those conditions. I was by far the youngest person there & they seemed to not know how to deal with anyone who wasn’t elderly with very common ailments. They just basically gave out meds & left you to be. They have no intercom communication system in case of an emergency… they have a bell. Yes, a friggin manually held BELL you ring to alert a nurse! What is this a third world country?! As soon as my Ohana discovered how they were«caring» for me there, they demanded that I go to Maui Memorial Hospital where I received excellent care beyond my expectations! DONOTPLACEYOUROHANAATTHISGHASTLYFACILITY! That is no way for anyone to live out their final days or be treated for anything out of the ordinary! We deserve better for the people of Maui!

Being a non-resident of this place, I guess it’s an okay place. We went to visit my aunty who has been here for several years now. No one really wants to be here, but sometimes it can’t be helped. The facilities are clean, can’t really review the nursing staff as I haven’t frequented this place enough to do so. There seems to be a bunch of activities to keep the residents busy and entertained. It can also be a very depressing place to even visit, seeing how some people end up. Not sure who the architect of this place was, but I want to slap them and congratulate them at the same time. It’s laid out in an «X» shape with nice outdoor courtyards and foliage, but because of poor signage and monotonous colors, you can get totally lost when wandering the halls.
