If you want the best local lesson, or refresher with epic location on north shore, private access, no crowds to help calm the newbie nervous nellies! One on one private, attention to details! Todd will get you in the water safely ASAP. Practicing in water is more fun and is easier than on land. Oh and there is the private amazing heated outdoor shower after you’re lesson at the «Office»! If you want to ride, this school is you’re ticket! Just do it! You will be glad you did!

As all other have mentioned, it truly is the best place 2 learn to kite. Great location, great facilities and great people. Took lessons elsewhere, and in my opinion, L2K is by far the best place to learn to kiteboard. Came here with some kite skills and a in-​ability to water start, and Todd got me up and riding.

Todd was an awesome instructor! My girlfriend and I took a joint lesson, and we both had an absolute blast! No matter how many times we crashed the kite, struggled to get it out of the water, or just generally failed at kiting, Todd was super patient and kept giving each of us pointers on what we did wrong and how to avoid that problem the next time. The spot he teaches from is essentially a private beach, which made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be back for more lessons and perfecting of our technique!

Had an awesome session at beach next to todd’s shop and was the only kiteboarder on the water, great place to avoid the crowds of kite beach or take lessons one of the greatest kite instructors! My wife and I also rented a couple sup boards from Todd on a no wind day and paddled out from the beach by the shop! Perfect location and awesome service!

Had such amazing time learning to kite with Todd. Awesome location, felt safe and informed and couldn’t have been more satisfied with the experience. Also it was comforting to know you were being taught by one of Maui’s best kite boarders.

Todd really works with you to tailor the lesson to your time and knowledge. He won’t take you out unless the weather is really going to give you your money’s worth!

I took my first kite lesson with Todd after seeing him teach another student out on the water one day. He is very focused on your safety and progresses the lesson along only as long as you both feel comfortable with the next step. The lesson starts with the very basics: direction of the winds, flying the trainer kite, setting up and launching the full-​sized kite, and how to safely get yourself out of the kite and back to shore. Once in the water he showed me how to let the kite pull me through the water and how to change directions. He stayed right with me the entire time and helped me manage the kite when I was struggling. When we both felt confident that I could do it alone he let me go out, launch it and fly it on my own! It was really fun to feel the power of the wind and get dragged around by it in the water! I felt very safe and relatively in control of the the kite and my body during my lesson. Overall, it was a really fun experience and I can’t want to take another lesson with Todd!
