first experience my husband inquired in person about a lock and they said that ‘no one can repair this, you have to buy a new lock’. second experience I drove in to get some keys made and the employee was locking up the front door so I asked if there was someone inside to assist me. he says ‘we’re closing up for lunch’ — this was at 12:30. I said I drove from Kihei to get a master lock duplicated that they had made and he says ‘we’ll be back in about 40 minutes’. so I looked at their hours open sign which stated M-F 8 – 5 but closed from 12 – 1 for lunch. Seriously? who has a business that can’t stagger their lunches for the employees? I went .5 miles away to Kihei Safe and Locksmith services and they don’t close for lunch and were much more responsive and professional. two bad experiences is not a good sign — good luck staying in business much longer. I work for a company that could have given Maui Lock a lot of business, but I’m happy to have looked for a different lock service! I’ll be taking in our lock my husband inquired about to these guys to Kihei Safe and Locksmith to see what their assessment is — really curious what their response will be!
