I was in town from NYC for my wedding and was looking to get some hair /​facial detail done for the big day. I walked into the shop and was immediately treated like a friend. The patrons were a great mix of young and old /​tourist and locals with a solid group of skilled barbers at the helm to meet all needs. I would strongly recommend you make time to visit O’Carney’s. You will leave feeling and looking better than when you walked in.

Exactly what I needed. A man’s barbershop right in Lahaina. Oscar gave me a perfect haircut. One might even say the best I’ve had yet. Plus they use a straight razor to clean up the neckline so it’s super clean. Taper was real tight and Oscar took his time to make sure I approved. I’d come here all the time but it’s kind of far from Salt Lake. Mahalo fellas!

Three of us showed up at the shop this afternoon and were pleasantly surprised with the old school barbershop atmosphere and professional job. We got in quite quickly and the girls did an awesome job. Super happy. Did not expect to find this on the island of Maui. See you guys next year!

I’m from Oahu and needed to get a good cut and fade done. A friend of mine referred me to Ryan. I was VERY impressed. His style and attention to detail is second to none. The shop was very hip and comfortable. If you need a good cut/​fade they’re the place to. I’m pretty sure all the other stylists are great also. My husband and I are vacationing in Maui for our 2nd year anniversary. My husband always cuts his own hair but once in a while goes to a barber. When he comes out of the barber, he always has to go straight home and fix his hair because it never comes out right.
We saw this place on Unilocal and noticed that Ryan was getting amazing reviews so he decided to give him a shot. This is the first time a barber actually accomplished everything that was asked for. He didn’t have to fix anything because Ryan did such a great job! We definitly recommend Ryan alongside his other talented barbers.
This is truly the first time I have seen my husband happy after coming out of the barber!
Thank you Ryan! We will definitly be back to you on our next visit to Maui!

Been going here since moving to Maui 6 months ago and haven’t had one bad haircut no matter which stylist cuts my hair. They spend time and do it right, everyone is friendly, and the space is kept clean. The line can sometimes be long, but when something is this good I guess that’s to be expected.

My husband needed a place to get his beard trimmed /​lined up while we were on vacation and we googled for a barber shop and this one popped up and seemed legit so we checked it out… and it was certainly more than we expected. It was trendy, the line moved quickly and the workers were friendly and knew what they were doing. Glad we found this place. Will certainly go back next time we are on vacation!

This place is no longer Called Daddy’Os, its called O’Carneys named after an amazing barber. Ryan is the best on island but his way of taking walk-​ins only instead of taking calls, or reservations is very frustrating. You need to get there exactly when he opens, otherwise you will be waisting your whole day waiting for a spot (if you arent around when he calls your name he will skip you). Good luck!

These guys are solid, Maui’s best barbershop for sure — after looking for 5 years (since I migrated to Maui), I’ve found the only barbershop that I will go to. The wait can be very inconsistent and hard to plan for, but that’s obviously a fluctuation of customers at the time — it has taken me anywhere between 5 minutes to 2 hours to get seated. The current ‘sign in and wait’ system may work for now, but it’s not efficient or sustainable long-​term. There is enough demand that they need a bigger space. Such are the growing pains of being very successful and providing a service that is in much need — but to be clear: This is THE best barbershop on Maui and the ONLY one that I will give my business to.

A real deal barber who is extremely good at what he does.
His attention to detail and his ability to really take into consideration the cut I was after was just crazy!
Well worth the drive from Lahaina + the 2 hour wait! This shop is busy for a reason!

Best experience at a barbershop! Clean fades! Highly recommended. Four barbers efficiently cutting hair at the same time so wait time is minimal. No reservations and appointments. Really cool shop!

Awesome service and fresh cuts all at a great price! I took my 16yr old son to get his haircut for the first time here and we got Colin. He truly put effort into giving a fantastic cut and was very detail oriented. We’ll be back to see him again!!!

Wow this was the best fade I’ve had on Maui since moving from Oahu 12 years ago. The window reads $ 16 cuts but says for buzz cuts (on size guard). I give myself buzz cuts at home. I was leery when I found out a fade was actually $ 23 … very leery. They did not disappoint. They even finished the job off with a straight razor and shave cream to shape it all up. The wait was long (1 hour) but you can always check in and come back. It is really worth it!

Legit barbershop, like that they take a razor to do a clean shave after your cut. Staff was professional and good about shooting you straight if it will be a while before they can see you. They took their time to give you a good cut even if there are others waiting, get great value for your money. Dawn is awesome. A+

GREAT «REAL» BARBER SHOP you will feel like part of it quickly as they are all friendly. This was my second time in there and they made me feel like i grew up in there as family.
It is no appointments first come first serve with a list when busy. They are totally cool if u like leave and come back once your on the list or stay and talk story. I only mention this so not to be confused if someone appears to come in after you yet gets in the chair ahead of you.
Besides the great atmosphere and character of the crew they all do exceptional haircuts, it honestly seems like the pride taken, was as if (or better lol) they were cutting their own hair.

I have been a loyal customer of this no reservations, first come, first served barbershop since 2006. This afternoon, following a 50 minute wait, the next barber available, Ryan, in the lead chair, looks right through me (I am finally next) to his pal who arrived 30 minutes AFTER I did, and offers him the chair.
No explanation, no reason given, just plain old favoritism. I’m DONE with Daddy O’s and encourage others to also avoid this place.
Like friendship, loyalty is hard to earn and easy to lose. Never again will I open their door.

A little hard to find but fortunately they had placed a placard on Dairy Rd which directed me to the right place. Arrived at the «man cave» and all 3 stylists had clients and an additional client was waiting in line before me. But by the time I left (about a half hour later), all seats were full with people waiting. Clearly the place is popular!
These guys know their cuts. When I told them I wanted 1.5 guard on the sides and ¾″ off the top, the stylist had a couple followup questions regarding how I style it, and then we were off. Try doing that at Supercuts and see what you get! (actually, don’t) Fast and efficient, but not TOO fast (I’ve had some 10 minute haircuts which just didn’t cut it). In the end, a great haircut and very friendly staff, even for a tourist such as myself. Highly recommended!
