After a long day at the beach my friends and I were in desperate need of food! I had read reviews about Beach Tree, and even though we weren’t staying at the Four Seasons, we decided to check it out since it was close by. I’m very glad we did. The service was polite, prompt, and attentive and the food was phenomenal! It was great being able to eat and drink by the beach with out a worry in the world. It really helped us get into the laid back mood everyone looks for in Hawaii!

Great setting. Really lovely. Four Seasons knows how to do things. Our server, Bianca, was a real delight. She offered really great suggestions, and had a very strong knowledge of the menu in general. Which I love to see. And she was very gracious and talkative which is another great aspect of dining. The food was very good, very flavorful, and well done overall. The cocktails were also good. Lunch was $ 200.00 with 4-cocktails, appetizer and two lunch entrees. High price point but the setting was wonderful.

The food here is great, and the views are even better. We did not make a reservation for the night we came, and first came down from our room to catch the sunset, live Hawaiian music, and torch lighting ceremony. There is a front deck attached to the restaurant that has unbelievable ocean views, featuring the actual tree the restaurant is named after. You do not need a reservation to sit on any of the couches or chairs on the front deck, and we enjoyed the complimentary nuts and waiter service for our pre dinner drinks. After a little while, once the sun had set, music was over, and horn blowing torch ceremony was done, we asked the waitress to be seated«in» the restaurant. It’s an open air restaurant with no windows, so it’s basically just a roof over your head. Nice island feel. We started with the mascarpone and prosciutto pizza, which was great. My wife didn’t feel like having wine, but I wanted more than a glass, so I found it awesome they had carafes(about two to two and a half glasses of wine). For mains, she had a large salad, and I went for the pappardelle pasta. Was expecting more of a cream sauce, but the pasta was still really good. Our waitress was great, and the setting was just perfect. Could sit on that front deck nursing cocktails and taking in the sounds and view for hours. Perfect casual yet nice night.

For a special dinner this is the place to go. The food and atmosphere is fantastic ! We made reservations right before the sun was ready to set, add a tropical cocktail and evening was just perfect ! I had the gnocchi with the oxtail ragout and my husband had the short rib. Both were cooked to perfection ! Beautiful«live» music completed the romantic evening.

We came here on our last night on big island as a splurge and I am so glad we did. We came here around sunset to enjoy breathtaking views right before dinner. Made reservations a few days in advance for a Friday 6pm dinner. The beach view on the four seasons is one of the best I’ve seen during my trip to the big island. We got the burger, buratta flatbread(special of the night), and fish of the day. All really good quality food but it’s not Michelin level. It’s the four seasons, so expect to pay the premium for the service, food, and beautiful backdrop.

Recently I brought a group of friends here are it was amazing. Great drinks, good food, amazing view. I loved it so much I organized a ladies afternoon out for all my work colleagues. About 25 of us total. I called to make the reservation and was told they were not serving locals. I’m so disappointed. I had heard that large chains in the islands are not great to locals, but this was my first time experiencing it first hand. I guess I will take my business elsewhere.

I really regret having to write a bad review for this place. We had reservations for 5:30. We checked in at 5:15…were told to wait. After an hour we watched couple after couple being seated and we were obviously forgotten. This would be ok if we are talking about an IHOP but if you are paying $ 15,000 to stay at a resort it is beyond excusable. The times we did eat at this place the food was mediocre. Skip it. They have problems here now. Update to prior review… We tried the place again. This time it was a completely different staff. There was a noticeable improvement. They were warm and welcoming. We tried different entrees that were quite good, and much better than before. So I have to say the problem is mostly with consistency. Perhaps some work might improve things.

Live music, amazing sunsets and stellar service. The bread and pesto olive oil to start you off are a harbinger of good things to come. I had the lamb burger with a mango salsa and delicious home made fries.

The Four Seasons can do no wrong! A fabulous place to celebrate special occasions. I would give it five stars but the evening we were there celebrating two birthdays a table of 14 loud men were such a huge distraction. At one point they were arm wrestling. Who arm wrestles at the dinner table?! The management was called over to our table and mentioned that tables were being sat far away from them as they could. The manager looked like the situation was over his head. We were offered some free limoncello that I gather was a peace offering from management.

It’s the Four Seasons, so drinks are expensive. But you get live music, a nice view, friendly staff and good food. We had drinks, margherita pizza and their dry ice /bon bons dessert for two.

Great location right on the water. Sitting watching the waves roll in and enjoying a drink and pupus is a fun way to relax and unwind in Hawaii! Expect to pay a premium for this location, they are top notch for sure.

Excellent place. We met a good friend of ours who moved to the island several years ago to have lunch with him and catch up. He suggested Beach Tree. Yeah, that was a good call. We met up and walked through the hotel grounds to get to the place. It’s right on the beach in a nice covered area. We were quickly greeted and our drink orders were quickly on the table. We all ordered different items and they were very good. I had the pork sandwich special which was simply awesome. The drinks were all very good. The service was perfectly paced and very friendly. The whole lunch took about an hour and half to two hours and we were never rushed. I really think they did a great job on that. If you ever want to have a nice meal beach side, this is the place to go. Good job folks.

My first impulse is to give a lower rating because of the high prices, but then I realize you are paying for more than just the food, but also the setting and atmosphere as well. My wife and I came here for our anniversary dinner during our vacation and loved it. We were seated right before sunset and we’re able to watch the sunset and listen to live music while watching the waves roll in. They also had a hawaiian torch lighting ceremony just after dusk. The food is definitely expensive, but is really really good. I had a mixed seafood medley that was cooked perfectly and in an amazing broth. My wife, because she’s crazy and hates seafood, had a steak that was cooked great and had really good seasoning. We we’re too full for a full dessert, but because it was our anniversary they brought us ice cream bon bons and a happy anniversary message made out of chocolate. We will definitely be coming back next time we make it to the big island.

I ate here yesterday for my fiancé’s birthday dinner. I live on Oahu so I went off Unilocal reviews and booked it at 6:00 pm to make sure he gets to watch the sunset as we dined. It was AMAZING! We had about 4 people greet and help us, but our server Katie was awesome. She knew her stuff and made sure to even bring a cute little dessert with a candle. Even our plans got switched from Saturday to Sunday so when I called to change our reservation they were very accommodating. Anyways to sum it up it was some of the best service I ever received. My fiancé said it was the best dinner because of quality and view of the meal. Thank yall for making ethe evening perfect for us!

The fact that this place is packed nearly every night isn’t just because of the amazing view, live music, and service, it’s because the food is outstanding as well. During a recent vacation stay at the Four Seasons, my Husband and I ate at Beach Tree several times. We were blown away by the food quality, the drinks, and even the service, even when it was super busy. We sat several times in the bar area, which offered the best views of the sunset and was on a first come first serve basis. The views are spectacular and every night we witnessed an amazing sunset right here from the restaurant. We were also blown away by the food, which was surprisingly good. Especially all the Italian features. I loved the simple pastas with added flare. The bruschetta was delicious and filling. The portion sizes are bigger than expected and in line with the price(in my opinion). Drinks were good as well and they didn’t skimp on the alcohol. Finally, we had the chocolate dessert on our last night… I wish we’d had this sooner… it was the perfect end to a great meal. Beach Tree cannot be beat… just a great atmosphere(with live music and dancing), good food, and great service. Check it out… you’ll love it! Wish I was there now…

Amazing food with an even better view. The Four Seasons is known for the food quality and service, and at the Beach Tree Bar and Grill the continue that with a casual and relaxed atmosphere. Everything I tasted in the menu was fantastic. If you try one dish from the menu, go with the fish tacos. I had them twice, there perfectly cooked with the right amount of seasoning. After your main course, have either the sorbet or ice cream. The passion fruit and raspberry sorbet pair well together. And if you want ice cream, get one scoop of the macadamia nut ice cream with one scoop of the coffee ice cream and put that in a waffle cone. It’s perfection. Lastly, to wash it all down, the classic Mai Thai is as good as what you’ll find anywhere. But look for the drink Tom’s Pink Shirt and if Tom is there ask him how he got the drink named after him.

It is the Four Seasons beach front restaurant. We attended a(Corp event) buffet breakfast. All the usual breakfast items, some with a Hawaiian twist. The staff was attentive and(very) helpful. One person at our table inquired about cranberry juice. It was not available the first day, but was available on subsequent days.

Lovely atmosphere located by the ocean accompanied by live music and hula dancer. Service was absolutely top notch. Our server knows every single dish on the the menu and was able to explain each dish to us like that was his creation. Very impressive! Started off with a beet salad which was super fresh, season perfectly and left me wanted more. Their house bread with pesto garlic olive was to die for! Just don’t eat too much so you won’t get too full for your main dish! Gnocchi with ox tail was great, the gnocchi was a tad too soft for me, I like my gnocchi a little al dente but overall very tasty. I wish i had room for dessert but I was just too full! They do give you a tiny basket of malasada with cinnamon sugar on the house which is a very nice touch. Restaurant is at the Four Season Hualalai, so expect to pay more for the food but the atmosphere, service and quality of food are worth the extra $!

Perfection! This is the idyllic beachfront, casual yet elegant restaurant spot with healthful food and incredible views. Highly recommend the Mango Gazpacho. It was perfectly balanced… you could tell they used a high quality olive oil and perfectly ripened tomatoes. It was exceptional. We also had the ahi burger(on a brioche bun)…my guy loved the fact that the chef stacked the fresh ginger next to the ground ahi for effect. I had the southwestern inspired grilled and chilled shrimp salad with cilantro vinaigrette. It was light, tasty and perfect for maintaining a bikini bod. Service here is GENUINELY cheerful and bright. We had the lovely opportunity to chat with a manager, Shelley, about our dining experience and what sets Four Seasons apart from other brands. Incidentally, Ms. Shelley is new to the islands… and as we kama’aina like to say, «E como mai,»(welcome) and«a hui hou!»(until we meet again)…your bright light and genuine interest in your guests is what hospitality is all about… and these qualities are reflected in the entire team there at the Beach Tree. This is what distinguishes Four Seasons from so many other places… the totality of the experience. The views/ambiance, service, food… TRIFECTA. We’ll be back again!
