Friday hours are 10a-6p. I guess that’s island time, because they were closed at just after 5p. Bummer, I was looking for something to give my wife for our anniversary at the end of the month!

I was impressed with how friendly and helpful the owner is. She helped me find a dress for the Marine Corps ball last year and since I was new to the island she went the extra steps to make me feel at home.

The secret to this stores charm is in the owner. Lilian is very friendly and enjoys shopping for deals. Every week someone brings in something new. Lillian chooses from select items to ensure that everything in the store is sellable. Handbags seem to be the most popular item. Some designer handbags go for thousands of dollars in retail stores and for a fraction of that at Lilian store. If you’re going to bring your clothes and be sure to call ahead. They like to schedule appointments, and quite frequently will tell you what items they will and will not accept. I like that they only take items they think can sell. I don’t know why the one negative review, it seems like most everyone who’s been here knows Lilian and loves the store. Definitely worth the trip, from Kailua or town.

I just had breakfast at big city diner and walked across the street to Kailua Verde. Not only did the owner open early to let us browse, she pulled a bunch of dresses for me to try on. I found one and she said the formals are 50% Off AND if you buy a dress and get shoes, they are only $ 25 for the shoes! I just walked out with a beautiful, flattering Cinderella brand dress for 95 $ and she threw in a crystal brooch to give it some pop! She’s also keeping a log of dresses she sells for the ball so there’s no duplication. While I was there I noticed a lot of designer purses, jewelry and a lot of shoes but my main focus were the formal gowns which she had a large selection of and in bigger sizes. I definitely recommend Kailua Verde for anyone looking for a formal dress. This was by far the easiest dress shopping experience I’ve had in looking for a formal dress for the Marine Corps Ball and I actually saved about $ 100 from a basic black dress I was going to get at David’s Bridal!

Kailua Verde Is a beautiful consignment boutique! :) Great Prices For a lot of high end items, such as St. John, Armani, Chanel & More. They Have To die for Louis Vuitton Purses that looks as if it was never used with such a affordable price! I recommend you to spend some time in the shop and i doubt you will leave empty handed :) :)

Prices are too high for a consignment store. For $ 70, I can get a brand new Coach bag! The selection is very limited or at least it was on the days I went there. The clothes and bags here are appropriate for ages 60 and up — old fashioned/matronly. I guess its just not my style. I also felt the shop assistant was kind of aloof and a little snooty.

I had a great shopping experience at Kailua Verde on Saturday. I was looking for something very specific and I didn’t k now where to start. Lillian took a lot of her time helping me find what I needed and I found so many great bargains! Thank you!

I really enjoyed my shopping experience here. Lillian, the shop owner(and also mother of radio DJ, Maleko) was friendly and helpful. The prices may seem high for consignment clothing but most of it was actually 25% — 50% off and there was a $ 15 rack. There were some very nice designer brands(Chanel, Burberry) as well as more affordable, everyday-wear. Kailua Verde Boutique reminds me of Clothes Chick on Kapahulu but perhaps slightly more upscale. The clothing seems to be geared more towards 40+ women but there were some younger styles scattered in. Lots of cute knick-knacks, jewelry, and for some reason, quite a few Coach handbags. To be honest, I found the clothing at My Girlfriend’s Closet more to my taste, but great customer service and a wide assortment of interesting items to peruse made KVB a thoroughly enjoyable shopping experience.

Very nicely decorated and well organized ecclectic consignment store with great selection of many designers at a wide range of prices, from Free People to Johnny Was, Betsy Johnson, Sue Wong, to Armani, St John, and Chanel and Louis Vuitton. It’s even got some vintage, along with brand new items. Fine assortment of designer bags and jewelry as well, along with some local art. Staff very friendly and helpful. Always an adventure to see what I can find, scored some brand new appearing Uggs boots for my fall trip to the Mainland at a fraction of the original price! I say, check it out!

Kailua Verde is a much needed consignment store located in Kailua at the end of a small strip mall at the corner of Hamakua and Hekili Street across from Foodland. I hesitate to use the word upscale(though it can be) since it carries such a wide range of prices and merchandise, and sometimes using that word may discourage some people from going there. But the people who work there are friendly and helpful so don’t be intimidated . Like with any consignment store it’s hit or miss with what you find… sometimes you won’t find anything that fits your taste or price range, another time you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for or make a serendipity discovery! I love their jewelry, and they have designer and vintage handbags in every price range. They have really cute children’s clothing, watches(vintage and designer), purses, bags, dresses, jackets and men’s clothing… The way they display their merchandise makes everything easy to find and look. Hours: Monday 12 – 6 Tues — Friday 10 – 6 Saturday 10 – 4 Sunday Closed *** Surprise finding July 2011; Wedding gowns! *** A little birdie(not working at the store) told me that some of the items selling are from a non-profit organization. I took a look at some of it and it’s not crappy stuff either!

I had high expectations for this place, but after browsing the store, it came off as just average. The prices for these used clothes are what you would pay for a new shirt at Forever21 or Macy’s. The designer names were sparse but only a few«universal designers» were sprinkled among the other not-as-well-known designer brands. The store employees were nice but I felt like they approached me too many times. I just wanted to browse! I’m 22 years old and I felt like a lot of the clothes they had were what women older than my mother would wear(she’s 51). They did have a few cute tops and jeans my size that I tried on, and they were brands I recognized. They had a nice selection of knick-knack jewelry and little purse storage bags to make up for the clothing selection. This place just did not appeal to me! It was interesting to browse all the stuff, but I feel like this store has its«hit or miss» depending on the consigned merchandise they receive. It might be perfect for someone else though who is older than me or has a different taste of style. If youre a first time shopper make sure you print their online coupon for 10% off first time buyers, before you go.

There are items in every price-range. and i am always surprised when i go there at the new items they receive every day! i definitely recommend making this one of your stops if you are doing any shopping on the windward side. you may find exactly what you are looking for, at a lower price than you could have imagined! satisfied! 5STARS!
