Kawainui Marsh encompasses a large area, around 1,000 acres! The trail along the levee(where the pin is on the map) is about a mile and a half long. Across the marsh, accessible by Kapaa Quarry road, is a community-maintained trail that leads to a lookout. Be respectful and stay on the trail, and you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful view of the marsh, the mountains, and the town below. There are some informational boards out there too. I’d like to bring a breakfast picnic some time. :)
