I lost almost all strength in my right shoulder and arm last February and March. After an array of examinations, it was determined that my spinal cord was severely pinched in my neck.
In late May, An excellent neurosurgeon (Dr. William Obana) performed an Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion procedure and removed a vertebra and the bone spur — hoping that the nerves would begin sending signals to the muscles again.
Dr. McCarthy began treating me a few weeks after the surgery. I have now regained much of my lost strength and am working to further develop mobility and strength. He is a patient, highly skilled therapist who works personally with his patients to ensure successful outcomes. I thank him for getting me back on the tennis court and back to a normal life. Bravo!
