I went in for an iPhone charger at around 8:40. Both of the women were busy helping customers who wanted to buy and activate phones(which takes forever. Poor planning on my part though– I should’ve went earlier.) after about 15 minutes of waiting, one of the customers was kind enough to let me pay for my item before her transaction was complete because there was some issues trying to activate her cell phone. The woman who helped me was extremely helpful. I purchased the Apple charger and a pair of Apple earphones. After the transaction was done, the woman helping me told me there was a different«generic» charger that I could buy. She explained that it was much more rugged and good for rough handling. It’s also 4 feet long. Hello, freedom! She did a refund for me and then rang me up for the other charger. I’m happy to say that I’m still using the same one, while all of my friends and family are on their second or third Apple charger. I wish I had remembered to get her name. Thank you, radio shack!

They ignore women, waiting for service, a man walks in, they totally ignore me and wait on him! What’s that about? Happened 3 different days, why did I go back? Sooty to say, no other choice in Kailua, it’s a small town, so have to go to Honolulu town for my not urgent needs.

Ive always liked radio shack. When I need anything I usually go to the one in the windward mall, however I ended up in this one because they had something the other didn’t. The employees were so nice to me and so helpful. However, I do not think I will ever send my phone into their repair center again. My phone had hardware issues and I had to mail it into the center, whereever it was. I was told by the employees in the store that is have my phone back in a week. I figured a week wasn’t so bad. And it wasn’t. But a month? The repair center held onto my phone for a whole month and while they told me they would send me email updates on everything that was going on, they didn’t. I even called three times to make sure that they had the right email however I got nothing. Then they tried to tell me that after a month of waiting and calling I was going to have to wait another ten to fifteen days to get the gift card to buy another phone. After calling again I had found out that the gift cards were electronic. All in all I am completely done with their repair services. The actual store employees are great though.

Walked in on vacation to buy new battery for my cell phone. Came out with a new Samsung Galaxy 4… and THEBESTCUSTOMERSERVICEEVER. Young gal started the sale, Another older women helped transfer all of my images and more, and a brilliant young man finished the sale. Also set up my Google acct, password and a few apps. I could not be more impressed with this store, the Manager and their work ethic. Mahalo!

Wish I could give 0 stars. This place is ridiculous. 1. When the Otter Boxes came out for the iphone5 I called and asked if they had any available. They listed off all the colors they had and their costs. Great. I stopped in 5 minutes later with my 14 month old daughter. NO greeting when I walked in even though there were available associates(this is a pet peeve of mine). Found some Otter Box cases but none for the iphone5. Searched for 5 – 7 minutes and nothing. So I walked out unhappy. I called the store once I was home and asked if they had any Otter Boxes for the iphone5. The same girl replied«yes». I told her«Oh really because I was just there and could not find any.» She replied that they were by the cashier in front. To which I replied«oh they were? Oh maybe I could have found it if someone had helped me.» STRIKEONE. 2. On CyberMonday my husband bought me Beats by Dr. Dre for my birthday. He was told if I wanted to exchange the color I could. 2 weeks later, the day after my birthday, he went to go exchange the color for me(again with our baby in tow). The sale associates told him he could not exchange it without paying the extra money since he had bought it on sale… umm why cant he do an even exchange. They said it had to do with inventory. Thinking my husband may have just been confused I called the store and spoke to the manger who told me the same thing. We would have to pay the difference of the sales price and regular price even with all of our receipts. Is this normally how the holiday season goes? Whatever. We went to Windward Mall in Kaneohe to shop. Got there and remembered they too have a Radio Shack. A much nicer Radio Shack that greets their customers and said of course they would do an even exchange because that is what should be done. STRIKETWOKAILUARADIOSHACK. 3. Because I only live 5 min away from this store and it is convenient, yesterday I decided to try again. I called before I left the house and was told that they had in stock the covers for the ipad mini. Great. I stopped by with my daughter in tow. AGAINNOGREETING. One sales rep on floor, one helping a customer at the cash register, and not one but two just having a conversation. This was at 11:15 am and it was a young blonde short hair girl talking to a young brown curlyish hair boy that was sitting. They just cruised behind the counter talking. Cest la vie. I looked for the ipad mini cover which I could not find. 5 min later still nothing and still no greeting or even an acknowledgment that I existed. As I walked out the door, I thanked them for not helping me and for not greeting me and told them they were doing a GREAT job. Blonde girl just stares at me. STRIKETHREE. This place sucks.

Couldn’t have had better customer service! They had the iPhone 5 in both colors, and did the swap on both phones while we waited. Too easy! Christina is a-mazing!!!

I have been buying my cell phones from Radio shack, since they offered the Motorola, Startac(remember that!), and they continue to provide excellent service and lower priced accessories. On a couple occasions, we tried the Sprint and AT&T stores, but the staff is less experienced and don’t know as much about products and corporate discounts offered to their employees. FYI, the best coverage in Hawaii is Verizon, who offers 4GLTE service, so don’t blame the Radio shack guys for this.

Wanted the new iphone 4Gs in black, 16gb and went EVERYWHERE to try to find the one I wanted. So many stores told me they didn’t have the right size or color, and no one could tell me when they would have it in stock again. VERYFRUSTRATING. Came to Radio Shack in Kailua and Mike Yagi, the manager, didn’t have it in stock but made a point of finding it. I came back a few days later, and he had it for me! Much appreciated.

Tested out the Hotspot for Sprint. 10 Days later returned the Hotspot. Was told the Data was unlimited by Radio Shack. They put a 6 Gig Data Limit The Same weekend. Anyways — I now Owe Sprint $ 64.00 for $ 36.00 activation and The Rest for 5.1 Gigs Data use. for 10 days. Don’t believe their 30 days to cancel thing. I am Unhappy with Radio Shack and Sprint Now I have a collection Agency after me for $ 64.00 — Good luck. I disagree with you — Take me to court..
