Sharon’s Serenity

No Bueno. We stayed here for a week. The house is full of clutter. Sharon has two dogs and she keeps the dog food at counter height with the human food. The dogs smell and have done some of their business in the living room– it smells like dog urine. Sharon is not the most
peasant person either. For instance, if you like President Obama, don’t say anything to her because she’ll go after you about it. I can’t believe she gets so many good reviews on Unilocal and Trip Advisor. Sharon plays favorites with her guests — anyone who their stay at her place has very low standards for cleanliness.

I’ve travelled all over the world and this was one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed. Sharon is such a sweet and warm person and great at what she does.
Sharon’s Serenity is located in the beautiful and laid back city of Kailua on the windward side of O’ahu in a residential area which has no big hotel chains. She is a 7 minute walk to Kailua Beach, the best beach I have ever been to! The beach was not crowded and I really felt like I was in paradise. Restaurants are a close drive away and a really good grocery store– Kalapawai Market is a 5 minute walk away.
Her house is located on a beautiful pond, and you have a great view of mountains, hills, and a golf course. Her backyard area is gorgeous and well maintained. The pool was great too! She has plenty of seating area out there and is truly paradise!
Breakfast was tasty– fruit, bagel/​pastry, and fruit yogurt with coffee and her delicious fruit juice.
I stayed in the Blue Room and had a great rate. Her rates are really reasonable! The bed was comfy and she always kept the room maintained and clean. She even cleaned all the towels when we least expected it! The room and the house is decorated in a such a fun way– it has a very tropical feel. I love how she has her own soap in the bathroom!
I love that the birds were chirping when I woke up and I love that the windows are always open, blowing in the fresh tropical air into the room.
The two dogs– Casey & Bailey were so sweet, calm, and such a great addition to the stay! They are so cute!
There are 3 rooms, plenty of parking, and even a bus stop close by for those who don’t drive in. All the guests have space and Sharon gives everyone tons of space. She runs such a great B&B and i loved it here so much!!! Did I mention that she is a 7 minute walk from one of the most beautiful beaches?

I just returned from a trip to HI, and stayed with Sharon for a week.
The location is unbeatable. You are about 2 blocks from one of the most amazing beaches in the world! And Sharon is a great host… she’ll stay out of your way, but if you have questions, she is very accomodating.
The best room is the Pool Room… get this room if you can. I stayed in the Blue Room, and at times, it felt cramped.
If you are allergic to dogs, please consider other options. Sharon has two very cute dogs, but they seem to go everywhere, including the guest rooms. The sheets and towels smell vaguely of dog…
