Animal Rescue Project

I have adopted two dogs from Animal Rescue Project over the past 3 years and the process was great and the dogs are wonderful. It is fabulous that they can place so many dogs in a foster homes while they are awaiting adoption. This way the employees and volunteers are very familiar with the dogs and they can speak for the dogs disposition and character.

By far the worst place I’ve been to get a dog. The employees are far from helpful and they are rude. I’ve been there 4 times in the last week and never have I seen them interact with their animals or greet their customers with a happy face. They call themselves a rescue project but in reality they are only in t for the money. They are currently selling a litter of puppies for $ 325 each plus an early release charge of $ 30 because they haven’t been spayed or Neutered which isn’t supposed to be done anyway for at least a year. Every Saturday they have an adoption event until 4. I was seriously considering buying a dog right then and there and then it finally turned to 4pm and they kicked us out cause they were now closed. That’s some bs customer service if you ask me. By the way they are going to make over $ 2,100 on that litter that they don’t even tend to. They are awful. If you’re looking for an animal shelter in Kalamazoo, this is not the one.
