They have some new faces and the hostess is very polite and has the most beautiful green eyes and curly hair… I’m jealous! The service was great and food was good. Can’t say anything bad about my experience.

APPEARANCE: This Applebees was very clean from what I can see. WAITRESS: My waitress was very attentive, pleasant as was well tipped. FOOD: I really only go there to get appetizers. The other food is boring and expensive for what you get. I can get more food from the half of apps or from the sampler. I did try the special where you choose the main dish and your side dishes. I got the grilled chicken. They served one piece of mediocre chicken for 9.99. Other places do at least 2 pieces. Not Cool Applebees. OTHER: Applebee’s needs to do some events, like Karaōke or poker night. If they did an event similar to that, I would bring all my friends.

I’ve been here many times as it is pretty much right around the corner, but tonight was rough. Were it not for the good food, this may be a one star review. Our waitress may have been new, I’m not sure, but she shouldn’t be serving in a restaurant outside of perhaps a truck stop. She visited constantly, which was good, but deemed the rest of my party«sweetie» or «honey» or «dear». She also asked us if we wanted dessert THREE times while we were still eating our entrees! Like I said, not sure if it was her or her training, but it was awkward and rough to sit through. Most of the waiters/waitresses here are relatively young too. All in all, I will go back and give the place another shot.

This was a great experience. Our waiter was pleasant and helpful. Our food was fair, not perfect, but the service was pretty quick. Finally, they gave use free onion rings for checking in using the Unilocal App. Free food can always help ease a lackluster experience. Would visit again, especially if they keep giving away free onion rings.

Against my better judgement, tried this location hoping that after the renovation and revamping that things may have improved. i was sadly wrong. Meat improperly cooked and tasted very unusual. Service was also sub par. I’m done with this location of Applebee’s for good. Strongly recommend avoiding this place.

After visiting this Applebee’s location twice since my previous review I have come away from this restaurant totally satisfied. The food quality has improved, service is friendly and efficient, and the prices are reasonable. Tonight we had the 2 for $ 25. House salads(real good), Red Potatoes(crispy and delicious), French Fries(see previous), ½ slab of ribs(wife loved the rib-rub and BBQ sauce), and I had the 7 oz. Bourbon Street Steak(sizzling and tender). If you are looking for a good meal Applebee’s Gull Road is a fine choice. You won’t do better for the money at any of the nearby restaurants. Living within a mile of this Applebees I’ve eaten there many times over the years. I’ve had good meals and bad meals. Good service and bad service. This restaurant is surrounded by competing eateries ranging from fast-food to Mexican to Asian. It is rare that you have to wait in line to be seated although that does happen occasionally. Unlike some of those, this Applebee location typically hires employees who look clean and well groomed. Nothing kills the dining experience like a waiter wearing beard protection or a waitress adorned with garish tattoos calling the customers«Hon». If by chance you do receive poor service or food SPEAKUP to the manager and the situation will be rectified. I find that to be true of most restaurants. They sell liquor, wine, and beer. There is an open bar located near the middle of the building with tables & seating as well as stools to belly-up to the bar is you wish. TV’s can be viewed from most locations but there is no guarantee you’ll be able to watch the sporting event of your choice. Now, on to the food. After a couple of bites my last two Carside-To-Go dinners were fed to the family dog. But when dining in I’ve had better luck with the food quality and the menu offerings are decent for the price paid. The steaks are fairly tender and usually arrive at the table correctly cooked. The Fajita’s are good but portions stingy. Soups are tasty while the Boneless wing appetizers hit-and-miss. Fries are rarely crisp but there is an ongoing beer special that is reasonably priced. As I said I’ve received good and bad here. I’m giving this restaurant three stars because while the service is not especially efficient, the employees usually seem friendly toward the customers. One visit you might get lucky and get four-star food while the next might barely rate two stars. Due to the inconsistency of quality I’m also giving three stars to the food. You normally won’t leave this restaurant hungry nor ripped-off. The prices are reasonable and portions of most entrees adequate to fill the average person.
