I love Art Bayou! It’s always a fun and enjoyable time. I’ve come alone, with my daughter(7), and with friends on a diva night. Each time was a great experience. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They always have new pieces to choose from, tons of options and season appropriate items too. Can be a little pricey, so if you go often you should consider buying a punch card for studio fees.

I went to Art Bayou for the 1st time last Friday, although both of my girls had been there with Girl Scouts. The place was empty, we looked around, and ended up buying 2 items for each of my daughters to paint. The place is clean, beautifully decorated, well lit, there are plenty of supplies, and the staff was also very professional. After a while, the place got a bit packed, but the staff were still checking on us and alert at every need. I just thought that some of the items there were a bit pricey, but I can’t compare it to any other place like this since I have not been anywhere like this place. You have to buy the item, and then separately pay a fee to pain, and there is a different fee for children than for adults. In any case, it was a great experience, the girls loved it and that’s what matters …

Painting ceramics is probably the most relaxing thing I ever ever done! When I arrived, the place was super-packed with kids & babies crying, etc… however, the staff was very professional and helpful and did not seem at all overwhelmed despite the busy atmosphere. Spacing was adequate and supplies ample, especially the selection of ceramics to choose from. I will definitely be returning to and recommending this place…

I have always wanted to try one of these paint-your-own-ceremics places and was not disappointed at Art Bayou. I’m half tempted to get a job there just so I can try to get away with painting all day long, it is that much fun and relaxing all at once. They have a nice variety of bisque and a ton of colored glazes, stamps, and other supplies for really cool effects to choose from. If you’re an Art Bayou virgin, the very nice staff patiently walk you through the entire process and make themselves available for any other questions during your time there. Studio costs as of now are $ 8 for as long as you want to stay(and use of all glazes and supplies) plus the cost of your bisque piece. They apparently have some glassworking as well. I didn’t get a chance to ask about it but the gorgeous pieces I saw on display definitely have my interest piqued. I’ll be sure to ask about classes next week when I go to pick up my piece.
