Horrible customer service! They are Kicking people out two hours before closing… Awful if you ask me.

I go out of my way for the Greek salad with grilled chicken. The best I’ve ever had by far. I wish they would sell the dressing they use because it’s like crack! They also serve it with warm soft pita bread!

We’ve been here before and have always enjoyed our times together here with family and friends. The interior is awesome with its 50’s style countertops and décor. Not over-the-top trying super hard to look the part of a diner with corny pictures of 50’s paraphernalia. Just simple and fun. I tried their gyro for the first time: really good! Husband had cheeseburger, which he seemed to enjoy as it was gone shortly after she brought it to the table. Side salad was a bit small, but the fries were piping hot and good. If you’re looking for fancy food, probably not what you’re going to find here. But it’s good, basic comfort food you will get. Oh, and you want just a little bit of ice cream? That doesn’t exist here. You will get a gigantic amount of ice cream which is delicious and addicting.

For the three times I’ve went this summer, I have not been disappointed once. I can’t say I reach out past my comfort zone of a hamburger, fries and ice cream, but when they’re so good, it’s hard to convince myself otherwise. The serving sizes are quite plentiful, and with the hamburger at $ 5.59 and the fries a $ 1 extra, it makes for a great price point. It almost feels cheap for the quality, size, and taste you’re receiving. The burger toppings come neatly stacked on the side of the plate, letting you put them on in whatever order or arrangement you please. For some reason, both times I’ve had the hamburger, I couldn’t help but notice how round the buns are. This adds to my perceived quality of the burger as it boosts its asthetic appeal. The size of the burger is definitely on the larger end of the burgers that I’ve had. Red Robin burgers seem to be a bit larger as well and the two sizes are comparable. The pile of fries that come stacked next to your burger are also scrumptious. They remind me of steak fries more than the skinny, thin type of fries. They’re in between the two, but lean toward the fluffy type of fry. My brother found them too dry, however, with enough ketchup(which I use a ton of anyway), I did not find them this way at all. If you’ve saved room by now, the ice cream is well worth it. Even if you aren’t hungry right away, I would suggest getting some to take home so you can have the whole Parlour experience. These servings are also quite large and if you plan on getting ice cream right after a meal, I’d say a good rule would be to order one scoop less than you think you could eat. This size of one scoop, which is about the size of a baseball, doesn’t make it seem expensive for once scoop to be $ 3. The inside design of the restaurant reminds me of a more upscale Steak and Shake. This seems like the perfect place for a first date, as it’s not too fancy that you feel the need to dress up, but not too much like fast food, that it’s not a special outing. If you go once, you’ll likely have to go back just to make sure your awesome first experience wasn’t a dream.

5 stars is a rarity with me, but well-deserved. Allow me to explain: ICECREAM. HOLYCOW, ICECREAMFORDAYS. The Parlour is, in addition to an ice cream parlour, a diner with classic diner fare as well as some Greek offerings(hello, Greek chili dogs and Saganaki!) Full disclosure: I haven’t sampled much of the diner menu, but I plan to update in the future. The main event, as it rightly should be for all sweet-seekers, is the ice cream. I forgot to ask where they get their ice cream – it’s definitely local, but I couldn’t quite pin down who exactly(do they make their own?!). Aside from just being delicious, the Parlour sets the gold standard for portions. Their scoops are crazy big, and when your order makes its way to the table, you can’t help but feel like they’ve made a mistake or you’ve gotten away with murder. It’s freakin’ great! The flavor list is expansive and includes all kinds of tasty bits and sauces mixed into their various base flavors. The options for sundaes are equally plentiful. If you think you are bold enough, and have godlike intestinal fortitude, you must consider taking on the«Dare to be Great» challenge. 21 fiendishly large scoops of ice cream. Finish it solo in an hour, and it’s free. After roughly ten years of existence, the wall of fame is well-populated with hopefuls but devoid of conquerors. Will you step up to the plate? I’ve tackled the«Baby Dare to Be Great»(10 scoops) with a friend, and we both left in awe(and a little pain). I’m telling you, its not for the faint of stomach. The Parlour isn’t in a particularly hoppin’ part of town, but you owe it to yourself to give them a try the next time you’re jonesing for a massive frozen dairy infusion. You’ve been warned.

Best gyros hands down!!! Very reasonably priced and the kids portion was huge!!! We had the lamb gyros, environment was very casual like an old time ice cream parlor. Staff was very nice we will definitely be going back before our vacation is over!

Great portion sizes! Great for a date night or taking the kids out for a special treat. Bathrooms are weird, and there might not always be enough seating, but the food is incredible and they send out coupons every so often. Great bang for your buck!

Cheap chili-dog spot! Food is fine, don’t come here for quality, but for friendly service, VERY affordable food, and generously sized chili-dogs. Milkshakes and all that good stuff too. Support a local business in Kalamazoo and come here for lunch!
