Ate there tonight for the first time. Had the seafood tacos and the black bean burger. Seafood tacos not a lot of taste. Same with bean burger. The place didn’t have the wow factor for me.

I went to Feed The World Café last weekend with three of my friends and my friends two year old twin girls. We were really excited to try the food. However, the service was horrible. We went there around noon on Saturday and were one of three tables in the café at that time. The service was truly disappointing. I ordered an iced coffee and the server seemed very confused as to why I was ordering an «iced coffee»(as if it was such a pain to make it). The coffee took 20 minutes. My friend ordered a regular coffee that the server forgot about. She did not remember what anyone ordered, and put the wrong food down in front of us instead of asking who ordered what. She did not clear the table after we finished eating our lunch, then she brought out our bills instead of asking us if we wanted to order anything else. It seemed as though the owner or manager was standing around hanging a picture on the wall, then proceeded to sit down and eat lunch instead of ever coming over to ask us how the food was. He did not help our server get our drinks, coffee, or food when our drinks took 20 minutes. By the time we left the café we had been there for at least an hour and forty five minutes. We wanted to order the fried peanut butter and jelly, and instead of the server asking us if we wanted to order dessert or any more drinks, we had to order the peanut butter and jelly after the bills came. The guy from the kitchen had to bring us new silverware for the dessert, as the server did not clear the table or bring us clean silverware for the dessert. The food was good, but it was very disappointing to have such terrible service and to see the manager/owner standing around not being of any assistance when clearly our server is in need of training and /or help. I would give Feed The World Café another chance, but the service was not impressive as it ruined the entire experience.

I would give it 3.75 stars, so I rounded up. The atmosphere is casual and inviting. I ordered the seafood tacos and had key lime pie since these two items appeared to be the most popular item. The seafood taco was a mixture of grilled fish and shrimp that came in three soft tortilla shells. It was definitely different than the usual fish tacos I was used to. The ingredients were very fresh but the seasoning was a bit bland for me. However, I’m asian and used to a more stronger flavoring. The key lime pie was delicious. I would probably go back to try their other foods.

Excellent concept and it works well. Friendly informed staff, delicious food and serving beer and wine. Reasonably priced, best of all a percent is contributed to support non-profits locally. Bravo! Thank you, for serving food from local growers and supporting community.

Popped in late on a Friday night to check out this new café with a mission. It was a quiet night. The food was excellent as was the service. The seafood tacos were top notch. The curry chicken salad was bold and tasty. The BLT with avocado was also well received. Our only hiccup was the unavailability of the deep fried PB&J and Key Lime Pie.

Ate lunch here and sat outside. Very pleasant atmosphere. My wife had the summer salad which was VERY fresh and tasty. I had the open face pork and that too was delicious. Great food and a wonderful cause! We will definitely come back again!

Had dinner here and was delighted ! The concept of eating a meal and a portion of the cost feeds a food needy person is super. The fish tacos are so very very very, did I say very delicious!!! Can’t wait to return.. With more people!

I heard about this place from a friend and thought I’d check it out. The main draw for me is the charitable concept. From what I understand, 100% of the profits go to food banks etc. Inside displays a nice clean modern décor with TV’s, comfortable seating, and bar geared towards café type coffee drinks. They offer a nice selection of beer as well as some wine. I decide to order the fish tacos which were very reasonably priced, tasted nice and fresh. Service was prompt and attentive. I would recommend this place to friends. Overall a great experience.
