If you live in Parchment, you already pay for these books, so go read them already! For a town the size of Parchment, this library really excels at bringing in a lot of great new content. Several tables and shelves are dedicated to curated collections of new, themed, or otherwise noteworthy titles. The staff are all like your mother or grandmother, and make you want to give them all hugs. Seriously, free books. Since moving here, I’ve rekindled an appreciation for the cultural treasure trove that is your local library. Parchment’s efforts to offer a great resource to it’s citizens are spot on. As a side note, I can also go to Kalamazoo libraries and pick up books that Parchment doesn’t have. There is some sort of agreement that lets district members borrow from them as well, though you’ll need to get a KPL card in addition to your PCL one. Last thing, I haven’t tried any of the classes or events they offer but I see a yoga class? Okay, I’m in!
