This is the first winery(out of over 100) that I’ve bought a bottle of Chardonnay. The un-oaked is terrific. I learned a little, drank a little, and laughed a little. Terrific little gem in the downtown area.

I visited for the first time for a Unilocal event here. Upon walking in, I instantly fell in love with the charm of the old building. The unique presentation of the wines in the large glass bottles displayed in the back area caught my eye. I’ve never seen wines presented like this and it made for a great conversation about how wine is made. The tasting room is cozy and on my visit, the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I tried five of Tempo Vino’s wines with their Caramel Port being my favorite. I’m typically a beer girl so the robust flavor of the port appealed to me. I had not visited downtown Kalamazoo in quiet some time but checking out Tempo Vino during this event, made me want to see what else the city has to offer. I will definatly be back for another round of tastings very soon!

My husband and I attended the recent Unilocal event at Tempo Vino. The staff were very knowledgeable and flexible and allowed us to taste wines that met our palates. The Chattanooga Chardonnay and the Caramel Ruby Port were our favorites for the evening. The Port, in particular, was a standout, even, it seemed, among those who didn’t usually care for port. We enjoyed our visit very much and already have plans for a return visit.

Had a chance to try several of their wines during a Unilocal event. The place has a nice layout and the whole concept for their wine boutique is interesting. I can see this place as a great date idea or small parties wanting to make their own wines and customize their own labels. For those that dont make their own wines, this is the spot to do it and have folks that know what they’re doing help you make a good table wine and not vinegar.

This is a wonderful place for wine aficionados and novices alike. I fall into the latter group, but have always enjoyed stopping in this shop during Kalamazoo’s monthly Art Hops and other various events. Last weekend my friend and I decided to stop in to pick up a bottle of wine for a party. Tempo Vino has a great selection so this could’ve become a stressful, time consuming task for me. I never know exactly what I want or what the differences are between all the various bottles and so I’m occasionally overwhelmed by having too many good choices. However, The staff was extremely patient and helpful. They allow you to do a tasting for a reasonable price and are chock full of wine knowledge so that they can help you figure out what you’re looking for. I asked a million questions, but they took the time to answer them all and helped me truly understand what I was tasting and suss out what I wanted. I walked out of Tempo Vino a happy customer with a bottle of Raspberry Merlot in my hand. I will return!

Admittedly, i’m not a wine person, more of a beer guy. Happened to stumble into this place with a buddy while they were doing a wine tasting. Although we looked out of place in our work jackets and ball caps, the staff was very friendly and actually took time to educate us a bit on wines and get us to try some. I actually found several that i thought were pretty good and ended up purchasing a bottle. the price was very reasonable in my opinion and the product was excellent(normally i hate wines, so to find one that i enjoy is a rare feat) i would recommend this place to any wine person, but also to anyone who is not versed in wines or is looking to try wines for the first time.

Love this place. Boyfriend and I wanted to become wine drinkers, but had no idea where to start(and didn’t like anything we’d tried elsewhere). We visited the Tempo Vino tent at Greek Fest and they were very helpful and we tasted some really good wines. We’ve since been to the actual winery several times, and it’s always a treat. The staff is very nice and helpful, always offering suggestions and tastes. The wine is great and very reasonably priced. They also offer lots of custom options, as well, from custom labels to custom wines. My only complaint(which I can’t remove points for) is that they don’t keep up with their social media very well, and their website needs work. BUT, I’m very picky about that, and I realize that many companies don’t have the resources for it.

Custom wine for any occasion. You participate in the brewing process as much as you want. The staff takes care of the rest. Great staff service. Fun to try. Cool chemistry and process. Makes good everyday wine.
