Absolutely the best customer service hands-down! I went in there to pick up a thistle seed birdfeeder and some seed and they had everything I was after. The maintenance guy even overheard me talking about a problem I was having mounting the feeder to the post of my deck. He went into the back and came back with a bracket for me, free of charge. What else could you ask for?! I will be back for all of my gardening needs!

Absolutely fantastic. I ordered a flower arrangement, and it was absolutely and high quality for a low price. I am so incredibly pleased.

Wedel’s is a family owned and operated lawn and garden center that’s been in business since the late 1940’s. Members of the Wedel family still actively participate in the business’s daily operation. I grew up with my parents taking almost weekly trips to Wedel’s during growing season because both were & continue to be avid gardeners who devote much time & effort to their literally fine-trimmed lawn, flower garden, hanging plants, herb garden and more. Thanks to that I learned a lot about gardening. There’s also a full-service florist service on site in addition to the café. Staff at Wedel’s are friendly, attentive and know their stuff. And when they don’t know, they usually try to find someone who can help. Yes, their prices are often higher than those at other places that sell bedding plants, but for that extra $$ you’re paying for plants that the Wedels themselves often grow at their own off-site greenhouses. That extra TLC means better plant quality & the extra $$ support more local employees as a result. Overall, it’s like a candy store for your yard(and even for your houseplants!)

With all of the landscaping projects we have; this is like a playground for adults that have a fantasy of making their yards look like a TV show. I am always impressed by the number of staff members working here and 99% of them really have a good hold on the products that they offer. If you need a shade plant, a sunny perennial, a tree, some mulch, fertilizer or a sandwich(yes a sandwich), then this might just be your place. The little deli inside the store is a pretty cool place to stop and have a quick bite or a drink while you’re busily shopping away; spending those hard-earned dollars. I would recommend Wedel’s to everyone and even if the price is slightly higher than some other places; they really know how to take care of you here.

I really like it here. However, it can be a hit or miss. They can run out of plants fast. Lately, it seems like when I have a certain plant in mind, so does everyone else because they are gone! Today I went in for a clematis but they were out of the particular kind I wanted. They had a huge one that didn’t look so great for 69.00. I ended up getting something else that was much cheaper. Speaking of prices, they are definitely more pricey here. I will say that I will continue to come here because you not only pay for the plants, your paying for their professional expertise! They are super knowledge and helpful. They often have coupons in the paper that I take advantage of. It’s gorgeous in here as well! I just love the hidden waterfall in the back. Too cool! I will continue to support my local garden shop!

The quality of lawn and garden supplies are second to none. That said, I will go back because of the service they provide. Their team actively goes around and asks customers if they need help. And they are knowledgeable about what they sell. Top notch!

We are lawn newbies, so in the two years we’ve owned our house, our benign neglect has been pretty hard on things. We came to Wedel’s for advice, and were blown away by how knowledgeable and accommodating their staff was. Our lawn technician(I made that term up) didn’t push a particular brand but listened carefully to our concerns and helped us create an action plan beginning next spring. One thing we wanted to avoid was the heavy use of pesticides and chemicals, and our technician listened to us. I can’t emphasize how wonderful this feeling was, to have someone really hear you out and give their expertise without giving their own opinion. In other words, we walked away without buying much at all, but Wedel’s has gained our loyalty and we’ll be back in April ready to rescue our curb appeal!
