This place is great for drinks but the food leaves much to be desired. I had the lobster fettuccine and it was so so sweet. I had to send it back. My dinner buddy had stroganoff and he didn’t care for his either, as it was super salty and just not worth the price. The service was good and the ambiance of the restaurant is great however.

Visiting from SF, so our expectations for killer food in Kalispell were not through the roof, but 406 was so good we came back the next night! Each time we sat in the bar and received warm, friendly & fast service (that part we DID expect in Kalispell!).
We picked off the tapas menu. Watermelon prosciutto is a must – you may want to order more than just one! Imported, amazingly fresh, & perfectly thick prosciutto topped with the aged balsamic, basil and the freshness of the watermelon puts you in a summer setting instantly. Other favorites were the lamb meatballs (raita = out of this world!). Street tacos and Korean lettuce cups are good too with a nice spices kick!

I’ve been back 3 times – I want to support the only restaurant with this atmosphere in town. I love the outdoor seating and the bar with music. I don’t want it to go out of business. The first time back we ate in the bar and had great food and good service. The last two times I went to a paid professional dinner in the dining room and although they said the menu was the same, it seemed like there were a lot more options then the first 2 times I came. There were a lot of great options with various price ranges. Nothing seemed outrageously priced. Again, the service was good and the food was excellent both times. Very happy to have this restaurant!!! I love the huckleberry mojitos! But I do wish they would bring back the salad with the caramelized walnuts that was the BEST thing on the menu!

We had very high hopes for this place and we started to realize there might be a problem when the «gentleman» at the front ushered us towards a table handed us the menus and had us seat ourselves. That was after waiting at the hostess stand for a few minutes and wondering if we were even at the right place. We waited five or 10 minutes for someone to come see us and eventually a woman who turned out to be the manager came over and started taking our order. She quickly realized that we didn’t have the drink menu, the special menu, or even the water they were supposed to be placed at our table. This woman who is the manager is also the owner and I really can’t say enough about her. She obviously cares about what she’s doing and really does aim to make sure the customers happy. Things got a little bit busier inside and as a result the guy who had told us to go sit down turned out to be the waiter that we were supposed to have had the whole time. She came over to ask if we wanted anything for dessert and then brought the bill. Even that he seem to feel overwhelmed with and it took 10 minutes maybe 15 minutes to get the bill. As far as the food goes, it was really great, as were the drinks. That waiter honestly is the only reason that I didn’t give five stars.

This place is incredible! Everything we have tried here tastes great! The service has been friendly. The presentation of both the food and the restaurant are classy. In the summer, you can even eat outside the restaurant. This is definitely now one of my top favorite places to eat in the Flathead Valley.
We particularly enjoyed the Thai street tacos, which were incredibly fresh tasting. We also greatly enjoyed their 406 burger with the accompanying garlic/​Parmesan/​herb French fries.
After our meal, they actually charged us a LOWER price than the menu advertised – even after we asked to make sure it was correct.
Previously this same location has housed other restaurants (such as the North Bay Grille) which were all disappointments. But the new owners have really transformed it. We will return!!!

The tacos and the wontons were amazing. My husband seem to really enjoy his burger and fries. Definitely a must come back place the ambience is nice and relaxing the owners seem really nice. The bathrooms are very clean. And it’s even connected to a casino. And the parking lot is definitely a big space

Absolutely fantastic food & experience!!! Eating here is not only a joy for the atmosphere and experience (the owners are so wonderful to chat with) the food is truly amazing! You can feel transported by one moment eating a Thai inspired salad and the next moment feel
Right at home with one of the best burgers and fires you will ever eat! If you are in Kalispell do NOT Miss this gem, you’ll regret it. We will absolutely be eating here every time we visit Montana!

My mom and I are visiting here from Arizona so I can move here. We were recommended to go to the 406 bar and grill by our realtor which did not disappoint. The Tappas we had were amazing and spicy we had the potatoes that were spicy and crept up on us. Then we ordered the 406 burger omg it was so delicious. Our server was cute so we had fun and hopefully we made his night being funny.

I had read the reviews for this new named restaurant In an older location and invited a customer to join me for dinner. The service was very nice and I soon found out that she (server) loved bread. The chef was out of 4 menu items; apparently the menu is changing in a few weeks. So the food ordered was:
Curry clams, tapas: what a great idea. Unfortunately the clams were drowning in the excellent sauce and three of the shells did not open during steaming. Why even serve them on the plate?! My server brought me more bread to «drink up» all the excess sauce. She also pointed to 2 clams that we couldn’t see because they were lost in the sauce
Spicy shrimp in noodles: the six shrimp were NOT breaded, thank goodness because I don’t care for bread. Unfortunately there was SO MUCH SAUCE, I had a hard time finding the shrimp, much less the rice. The chef loves a heavy hand on salt, so beware with this dish.
The side salad was crisp and the blue cheese dressing had chunks that held a lingering flavor in my mouth: yummy.
Will I go back? Not based upon tonight. To the chef: think about portion sizes: full plates don’t need to be thrown away if they are not finished. Make them smaller. Also don’t think that everyone wants a loaf of bread to soak up all the sauces. Let the diner taste the real food, accompanied by a small tasty sauce. Lighten up on the salt!

Stopped in here while traveling through Kalispell and was impressed with the service, drink selection and the food. The burger was to die for and the price was only $ 13-​cheaper than many other items on the menu but still gourmet and large enough to have left overs. The drink selection reflected a well stocked bar and included mixed cocktails with local flavors like Huckleberry. Good environment for a professional dinner or a date night out. I will certainly be back here the next time I am passing through the area.

We LOVED this restaurant. We spent Labor Day long weekend in kalispell (from Calgary) and saved 406 for our last meal in town and it was delicious! My parents flew over from Australia and we were seeing the sights and sampling local food, this was great! Best meal so far.
Do not leave the Flathead area without dining here!

We never expected to find excellent tapas in a place like Kalispell Montana, but we’re very happy here.
The bacon wrapped dates were outstanding!
Really pleased to find such variety. There is so much (very good) conventional American fare out here, but we have that at home back East too. Great to find creative options.

Huntington Beach, CA
This is the BEST Restaurant in the area by far! We are part time residents, with this being are second time eating here, wish we came earlier in the season, but spent most of the time on the lake. Next year we will be eating at 406 at least once a week.
