The lumberjack skillet is the bomb! The patty sausage is killer! The service(Michelle) is excellent. If you are in Kalkaska you definitely need to stop in. You will not be disappointed.

The waitstaff were great and extremely welcoming. They are kind of expensive and small servings about sums it up. The food was only okay but not worth $ 37– for 2 adults and 2 Children. Even after a $ 15 Unilocal discount it was $ 28 w/tip, with that said, you shouldn’t leave hungry spending that much!

I hate to give such a good review, as it is a small place, but this is such a good little restaurant. My fear is never getting seated again, but… Their homemade bread is the best I’ve ever had. I didn’t like their home fries, but I’ve had their hash browns before and they are great. If you can get a seat in here for breakfast, it is the best place around.

Although the food was good the service lacked. My order was turned in wrong and instead of redoing mine first since my husband already had his food they finished all the other orders then did mine. My husband was finished and ready to go before my food ever made it to me. Not going to try this place again.

Tried out the Breakfast and Burger Express after doing some car shopping. We had the homemade soup and sandwich. Tasty food but a bit pricey. May try the breakfast next time we are the area.

The food here is very good. They close at 3 everyday so this is the number one spot in town for breakfast. Prices are probably above average but the food is well worth it. The pancakes and biscuits and gravy are my favorite and I get that most of the time, omelets and skillets are also very good.

We go here every time were in the area. The food is better than most, service most of the time is good. Prices are very high.

We have driven past this restaurant at least a thousand times over the years and finally stopped for the first time yesterday to have dinner. It was a nice surprise and we decided to try it again this morning for breakfast. The outside doesn’t really do much to draw you in, which is why it took us seven years to stop. There is a sign outside that says the special was a Coney dog and fries for $ 6.99, which seems a little much. When we walked in for dinner around 5p.m., we had our choice of places to sit. By the time we left however, there was a wait for a table. Since the name of the restaurant is Breakfast and Burgers, and the menu had a large selection of burger to choose from, I thought I should try what appeared to be their specialty. I tried to get my husband to order the Belly Buster Burger, which, if he could finish it in twenty minutes would be free, but he ordered a grilled cheese and fries instead, while I ordered the Blazer Burger. We both enjoyed our meals and left full. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the restaurant, the quality of the food, and the overall experience. We decided to add the B&B Express to our places we would try again. This morning we arrived around 10:00 a.m. for breakfast and the place was packed. We were next in line for a table when two spots at the counter opened up and we decided to take them instead of waiting for a table. We were able to get a good view of the entire restaurant, including the kitchen area. Every seat was taken and there was a line at the door of people waiting to sit. They had about half dozen waitresses tending to tables, and they were working like crazy. The cooks were on top of orders, and we could see them busily preparing breakfast for the crowds of people. It was chaotic, but everyone working there kept busy and moving quickly and efficiently. You could tell they had been trained well and knew what they were doing. Our breakfasts were good, as was the fresh coffee. The staff was friendly and didn’t make us feel rushed. We will definitely return.
