We had a great lunch while passing through town. The soup was excellent and the sandwich was very good.

If you are vegetarian, do not take the risk… They made 2 mistakes in my order… The price was cheap, but the service was not good at all.

Not a bad little place. The corn beef was good and on my table in 8 minutes. Pepsi was good and cold. Friendly staff. Only thing was the booth was not wiped down before I sat down. Had to clean crumbs off before I could sit. Other than that, nice place to eat.

Don’t bother. The place is a mess and they need to hire more capable employees. We just wanted a few shakes. They messed up everything that they could possibly mess up. I thought we were on a hidden camera show, it was so bad. I felt bad for two young folks they had running the restaurant. They needed help, but they didn’t do themselves any favors, and were far less than competent. They took orders randomly and made orders randomly and didn’t seem to follow any order in making the orders and getting them out. Each order they completed they had no idea who to bring it to. We watched them randomly try to hand our first group of shakes to 4 or 5 groups before they brought them to us, even though I was waving my arms trying to get their attention. They came to us a few minutes later and said that they were out of an ingredient for one of the shakes and asked what we would like instead. We picked a new shake and they went back in the kitchen. About 15 minutes later we checked and they said they were still working on it. We decided to run the shakes that were done back home so they wouldn’t melt and left one member of our group at the restaurant. When we return 10 minutes later(now 45 minutes after we placed our order for a shake and 25 minutes after we changed the flavor) we asked about the shake and they said they hadn’t started it. They apologized and said that«it must have fallen between the cracks.» We got our money back and left. When we got back home we discovered that they had broken the foam cup they were making my wife’s shake in and instead of starting over, they just slide it into a second foam cup. When she got to the 2nd half of her shake it was full of foam chunks. Pretty gross and incredibly poor quality. Don’t bother going to this place. There are plenty of other places in town to choose from.

The place is good for ice creams but don’t order any food on the menu here! They’re disgusting and not fresh.

Yum! This was my splurge for this trip. Started with a taco salad to ease my conscience for the dessert to come. Totally got carried away choosing flavor combinations with DD for the three pigs(banana split). Bear claw w/marshmallow+caramel caribou w/hot fudge+black raspberry pecan w/peach topping. YUM! The ice cream is great and service friendly and helpful. Service will be slower if you come right after a parade finishes ;-)

Dad got the Wild Huckleberry(so fresh and delicious) and I got the Coffee(not too rich, and with chocolate flakes!) The quality seemed better than most typical creamery joints, and the portion sizes were crazy big(I guess we got the right scooper!)

Great little sandwich and ice cream shop. Our favorite is the clam chowder, delicious! It is served every Friday and we try to be there every week. The sandwiches are served on fresh homemade bread. You can also buy the bread by the loaf which we do often. They make a lovely bread pudding that my brother considers the best he’s ever had. The food is fresh and tasty. Great place for lunch.

We stopped here for lunch after taking a tour of nearby slot canyon. They make their own bread and our tasted it delicious and very fresh. The sandwiches were very good too and we wanted to buy an entire loofah of their brass and could only get a couple of slices. Definitely try this place if your are in Kanab.

We went there on the road to Zion National Park. The philly sandwich was great, service was amazing and price very reasonable! Also try their apple pie, it’s amazing!

Visited this place on a trip to Kanab from NY. It’s a very simple place. The menu was okay-I had a hard time finding something I’d enjoy. The waitress we had didn’t know how to describe items from the menu, side dishes were forgotten, as well as a salad. After the meals were brought out we were asked if we still«need» our salad, and when we replied no, her response was«okay awesome.» We couldn’t help but laugh at this place. Ice cream was good but service was very slow for this. Our waitress stood there at the register while another waitress did all the work to prepare the ice creams. Overall, poor experience and would not return.

A gluten free extravaganza! They can do all of their sandwiches gluten free, and they even have gluten free bread pudding!

Service slow. They needed more wait staff. Waitress was very kind. I had the soup and salad. Soup was bland and sandwich was mediocre. Not impressed

We came here one night for a quick bite and experienced nothing of the sort. We sat ourselves outside with our dog(it is «Seat Yourself» here). We did not see a single person for 30 mins while we waited. We had to borrow menus from a table inside. We didn’t so much receive a look or greeting from any of the staff. Also, seeing as how I didn’t get to eat… I sat and observed the waitress microwaving one meal after the other. Nothing seemed to be made fresh. Good thing it’s an ice cream joint, but beware the dinner options. We ended up leaving after our 30 minute wait on the patio. Many other diners were also getting up and leaving, having not been served or even spoken to. There seemed to be only 3 people working as well. No discredit to them… maybe they were a hand short or not prepared for the crowd. I can’t even imagine what this place is like in Zion peak season.

The ice cream at this place is amazing! Had the two scoop Sunday with bear claw and cookie dough ice cream. It was huge for two scoops! I was just barely able to finish it by myself I would recommend bringing someone to help finish it. Also don’t choose hot fudge as your top topping it makes the whole thing melt a little to fast. The prices are reasonable for what they give you.

Chose this place because it was family friendly and had gluten free options. Food is nothing too fancy but the homemade bread for the sandwiches kicks it up a notch. Our celiac child was pretty happy with her blt on gluten free bread. On the downside, service was very slow. It appeared there was three people working and only 3 or 4 parties dining that night but our server never checked in on us and we had to go up to order desert and pay the check. Staff was friendly though.

We live in Kanab and this is our go-to place for a quick meal. We have never had a bad meal here. The staff is super friendly and their prices are reasonable. As mentioned they to have gluten free items and are celiac friendly. Nothing real fancy, just decent home style food. Oh yes and they do have some outrageous ice cream desserts!

The wife had some real doubts when I suggested this place and pulled into the parking lot. In the end, she and the kids were fans. The people are extremely nice, atmosphere very kid friendly and the food was good. I ordered the Chicken Little sandwich which was fresh chopped chicken breast with just the right amount of mayo. Better than what I was expecting. I would definitely order again. My wife ordered the taco salad and said it was very good. She said it could have used more salsa because it got a little dry at the end, but she ate every bite. We also split the taco soup which was tasty. I don’t know if it would be fame worthy as stated on the menu, but still good. The kids ordered chicken strips and a grilled cheese sandwich. Both were eatened without a lot of addiitonal coaxing. We ended the meal with ice cream for the kids. Single scoops are HUGE. I counted at least three scoops in each cone — which required a lot of parental assistance to eat :)

I stopped in a few days ago and got a ice cream. It was decent so the next day I suggested coming back to try the actual food since I saw on the sign that they have sandwiches and make the bread from scratch themselves. Upon walking in there was a sign that said«please seat yourself» so hubby and I headed for a booth near the window. They have tables and chairs set up outside and since it was a nice day so I told the server we were going to move outside to eat. She then said to me «well you have to place your order inside before you go outside because it is easier for us so we don’t have to go outside» and I am just thinking ummm OK! So hubby and I look over the menu which consists of ice cream(not homemade), salads, taco soup, sandwiches and hot dogs. We waited for about 10 minutes with no sight of the server so we walked over to the register and she was just leaned over on the counter hanging out. I said that we were ready to order and she stayed leaned over and just wrote the order down. I guess it is too hard to come outside where they have tables and chairs set up for customers to take their order because it is much easier for them to lean on the counter and take the order that way. I ordered a «Side Salad» with ranch to start. Then a «BLT» for my meal. Hubby ordered a «Corned Beef Sandwich» and«Onion Petals». While sitting outside for about 15 minutes I was wondering what could be taking so long to bring my salad let alone make a couple sandwiches. The worker that took our order came outside and said«I’m sorry but no bacon came on the truck we can’t make the BLT you ordered. I decided to go with the«Turkey Lurkey» which has honey turkey, mayo, cheese and onion. A different worker came out finally and asked who had the salad so I said it was me. She then handed me the salad but gave my husband the fork. WTH!!! She then came right back out with both sandwiches so I didn’t get to eat my salad before my sandwich. Hubby didn’t even get his onion petals for another 10 minutes! The salad was disgusting! The ranch tasted good but that was it. My sandwich was a joke! They both were! It was just like a sandwich you would pack your 2nd grader for lunch. The onion petals were the only good thing. We were just left outside nobody checked on us and the water glass we got was so small and never got refilled once. We decided to just go inside and took all our dirty dishes. There was now 4 workers all just in a group by the register having a conversation while we stood there holding dirty dishes. I said«excuse me we need some help» and a worker rang us up. I just set the dirty dishes on the counter I didn’t know what to do. After walking out I wanted to use their restroom which is on the side of the building and the door doesn’t shut so you can’t lock the door. It is a unisex bathroom. They say that they don’t accept atm/debit cards but they do have a machine and can take them if you just ask. The customer service is really lacking here and the food isn’t worth it.
