Bay View Golf Park Driving Range

Decent driving range. There’s nothing special or fascinating about the driving range, but it gets the job done. It’s close by, cheap and usually very quiet. I have not seen any rubber tees there, but I have two of my own. So make sure you bring one of you wanna drive.

$ 6 — 60 balls
$ 8 — 90 balls

I appreciate Bay View because they are open late and have lights for your post work golf fix. Be advised, no drivers allowed and you will be hitting off of mats. Very good prices, never crowded on week nights. Bring cash for the ball machine and an extra dollar for a tee to hit off of. If you return the rubber tee, you get your dollar back; pretty solid deal if you ask me. Have a golf itch late at night? I recommend Bay View.

I decided to try this range out during the evening, and it is way different than during the day. There is not enough lighting on their short 200+ yard range, and they don’t do a good enough job picking up balls on the range. Ala Wai golf range does a better job, and that’s not a compliment.
Range:
Not enough lighting during the evening hours that you’re not able to see where you golf ball is hit.
Service:
Range balls are nice and decent. Some of them seem brand new. I would like to add that the golf balls do not go through a cleaning system because there is dirt that are on the balls when you get them.
Atmosphere:
I like the idea of a double-​decker layout.
Price:
Not bad for the quality that comes out of the machine. The prices range from $ 3.00, $ 5.00 & $ 7.00 for a bucket of golf balls.
Parking:
Okay.

The only time I’ve been here is at night. I like it because it’s cool, quiet, and lots of stalls. I rarely go to the driving range, so prices for a bucket seemed reasonable to me. I brought my own beer and they do recycle, but I’m not sure if drinking was allowed… I didn’t see any signs. They’ve got stands for your golf bag if you needed one. Over all, I like it.

*Creepy old men creeping on young women hitting balls O_​O

It is not as nice as it was in its former glory 15 years ago, but it has survived the test of time. The are a lot of stalls and I have never seen it filled up. The balls are moderately priced. Nice layed back driving range.

This was fun. Haven’t hit balls in a while. Don’t know what I’m doing but just whack that ball as far as you can. hehe. $ 7 bucks will get you the large basket. 90 balls. Hit til you wrist gets sore. Do your own thing and have fun. Enjoy the peace and quiet.
Less people here to bust out laughing as you miss the ball! Less people to hear you swear as the ball flops down 2 yards. hahaha fun fun fun

Casual place to hit some balls. Luv that I can go there any time, day/​night & always get a stall. Several times I’ve gone & someone has offered helpful tips. One time, I literally had a woman spend 20 mins working with me on improvement tips! That was like a free golf lesson from a cute little old lady that could drive a tiny white ball 300 yards. She rocked.
I like it here during dusk, when it’s quiet & you can enjoy the view of the mountains in the distance. Really peaceful and a completely different experience than my daily surroundings on the other side of the mountains…
The large bucket of balls are about $ 7 and after that I’m usually done. I’ve been to ‘all you can hit’ for $ 10 and definitely don’t advocate for that. You’ll have an extremely sore shoulder/​arm the next day.

Double decker driving range is great for questionable weather situations. No using the driver from the top deck because they fear you going over the fence in the back…290 yards equates a ball going over the fence in the back. hmmmm 290 yards… I should give the tour a shot if i can drive 290 yards. sheeesh.
The new owners have put money into the range and finally repaired the netting.

Brought my girls here yesterday to hit some balls. Wow this place has changed a lot since I first started coming here. I remember back in the day when the balls used to come up by machine automatically and you could select from the machine how high or low you wanted to tee the ball. you could save all your energy so that your slices would go that much farther. Now it’s like every other driving range where you place your own tee under the mat and buy buckets via a ball dispenser. I guess that’s a good thing though, because that’s probably why my ass got fat in the first place. Enough of the nostalgia though, here are the pros and cons of this place.
Pros:
You can always find a stall to hit balls since there are 2 levels and it’s never really that busy.
Both levels have roofs so you can practice even if it’s raining.
There are 2 ball dispensers that take US currency and not special coins.
There’s a Roger Dunn right in the same lot so you can demo clubs and refill whatever you need in your bag before your round tomorrow.
Cons:
It’s built on marsh land where mosquitos breed.
If it’s termite season, they come out at night and distract the shit out of you.
if you want to practice putting, it will cost you extra and you have to use a rubber putter and a colored ball. (Mini-​putt)
All in all it’s not a bad place, and the location is convenient but due to the cons i gotta give it 3 stars.

Came here to hit a few and relax. I saw a lot of pros teaching people how to golf. It was kinda interesting watching them. You can tell that they are pros because they come all dressed up. Most people come with their T-​Shirts and shorts.

Do I live in Kaneohe? No. Then why would I come to this place? I’ll tell you why. Because Ala Wai Golf Course driving range is too darn crowded! This driving range has two levels, and when I went there after church today (yes, I go to church… how do you think I manage to not swear so much in these reviews?!) it wasn’t crowded at all. My son and I went to the lower level, where there were fewer people. Why would I want fewer people? Because I suck at this game, and I really can’t bear to have an entire line of people snickering to themselves while I hit the ball with a #1 driver, only to have the ball go about 20 yards! Insecure? Ashamed? A bit mortified? You betcha! Don’t you ever do things that you enjoy even though you basically suck at them? I do, but that doesn’t mean I need a huge audience to watch me «dying up there!» Bucket of 40 balls: $ 3. Bucket of 70 balls: $ 5. A plastic tee for my son, since he somehow lost 2 previous ones: $ 1. Thwack! Ah, what a nice sound! I hit the sweet spot! Now, where the heckl did that (bleep!) ball go?! Oops! Better go to church again next week!
