Central Self Storage

Please do not pay attention to the bad reviews. I think some people might have left reviews for the wrong business. If you are in need of a great storage solution, look no further than central self storage. I checked out a few places in the area and this came out on top. They are climate controlled. There is absolutely no way for any theft to occur unless you leave your unit unlocked. Cameras are on every floor. You have to buy your own lock which no one has but you and who you give it to. There is a passcode connected to your account which only allows you to access the gate, your level, and the first floor. The employees are great. Ive never had any problems. Even when i constantly forgot my passcode, they were still understanding, even minutes past the office closing time. I got this place right before i left on deployment. Some coworkers told me that i should have gone to the same place as them, but changed their minds when we got back. Their units at other locations where infested while my belongings were in the same condition that I left them.

Worst customer service ever!!! Nina was very rude and had attitude the entire time I spoke with her. They implemented a new policy which we were not informed about and so when we went to the storage unit to get something out our pin code didn’t work. They said it had to do with our payment, that they hadn’t processed it yet. Even though the payment had been made 5 days earlier. The only way for us to get into our locker is by paying again. We pay almost $ 500 a month, the hell you think I’m paying again because you guys are to slow in processing payments. Needless to say you guys have lost a customer, we will be getting a locker from a different company. Oh and you can thank Nina for that, if she had at least been pleasant and apologized for the inconvenience we would have kept our business with you.

I was very disappointed with central self storage. I called on a Saturday and spoke to an agent from the call center general number and explained to her that I was having trouble reserving the 10×10 unit priced at $ 246. She said that it was not showing that it was available but I have your number and will forward the information to the sites property manager in Kaneohe. So no one called me back on Sunday and I had already made reservations at public storage in Kaneohe for 100pm Sunday. So before I went I called again to the general number and asked to have the property manager from the site call me. No one called back so I went to public storage. Well Monday midday she finally called back and I explained to her that I had already rented at public storage with a 5×10 unit and she said she had one more unit available for a 10×10. I said at $ 246. She mentioned that it was on the 4^th floor and if I wanted it that I would have to come and put $ 20 down to hold it. So I called public to see what I could do and Debbie who was very clear and upfront said that she would be able to help us out and give us back some money that we paid already if we could get the locker empty by the 30^th. So I went to central storage on Tuesday and when we were going over the paperwork she mentioned that the unit was now $ 289 not the $ 246 unit and she said something about the 246 was not showing available online so that was not open. Well on the computer the $ 289 was not showing available but that is what I got charged. So I explained that I would come when it was cooler to moving my stuff around 7 ish and she said she would put me in the computer with access until 10pm not once but twice. So I removed all my things from public storage and went to put it in central storage. When we got to the gate and punched in the code it read «access denied, Call your property manager.» We got there around 725pm. Call the number no one answered and no one called back. There was no one available for me to speak to on site. I left at 740pm with a truck load of 16 containers that we had to bring back home and leave unsecured in the back of the truck. I am a very unhappy customer who thought the facility was very clean and brand new but OMG what a horrible experience from start to I’m not even finished because I have to deal with central storage Kaneohe tomorrow.

The worst customer service ever. I went there with a reservation to get a car storage, the email said that I can get a covered spot for 180 $ (Official email). When I got there the lady who works there was very rude to me, and did not help me at all. She asked me to come back in an hour because she had to take of something, but I’m a customer, and I needed someone to tell what is going on. I had to leave and come back after an hour, when I first came back the same «rude» lady told me that it is impossible to get that spot for the price on the email (so I guess that I was lying). all of what happened did not make me angry except for one thing, why the super rude lady made me wait for an hour and come back to tell me that she can’t do it. If she wanted to say something why she let me wait! long story short, the lady on the front disk is super rude and she does not how to treat customers.

I was very satisfied with this place. I only had a few days to move out of my apartment and store my furniture before I deployed. There’s usually 1 or 2 staff females working the desk during work hours. They were extremely nice and helpful. I forgot my pin number a few times but they were always willing to help a brother out. :) When you sign up you have to sign up for insurance and u have to buy your own lock which they provide you but can only use here. My storage room was nice and cool no rats or roaches and honestly I think the security is pretty good. I just hate having to enter my pin number every time I used the elevator. Really no complaints about the place its just kinda expensive.

While deployed, my unit was broken into and I had several high dollar items stolen. The manager that was working when I had the police show up was not pleased I was filling a police report… It became evident why, the police officer had said within the last month they have been called to Central storage a whopping 16 times for claims… The weird thing was, they were all on the same floor.
Police officer suspected one of the employees was in on it as all of the targeted units were of deployed military.
Military seek storage elsewhere.

I was forced to get a storage unit in December when I had to vacate my apartment in just 3 weeks. So I did my research and found Central Self Storage.
They have air conditioned climate controlled units. Pretty much any size locker you could need. Every thing is pretty much spotless. And they have that slide in cylinder lock.
The staff is super friendly and super patient as you ask to see each size locker. They are really thorough in explaining the payment process and how the security and locks work. You actually have an access code that gives you access to their parking lot and elevator. Then the elevator will only take you to the floor you unit is on.
Another bonus! FREE use of their big box truck for move in and first 26 miles are FREE. Additionally, compared to other storage places their prices are really good. About half as much as some others that I looked into. And your first full month is FREE!
For me the ONLY thing keeping them from a five star rating is the hours. 7 am — 7 pm. Though I could hardly think of myself needing something so badly outside of those hours but others might. Nevermind. It actually really doesn’t bother me. Five stars it is.
