HI Sub

My favorite sandwich shop but why are they closed sometimes when they’re supposed to be open??? Ugghhh I need my hi subs!!!

I was amazed… it was a great tasting sub. Sneha P. is on point… the bread was great! My visit, I tried what was on special for the day… Hi Shark Bite.
With so many choices, I will be back to try out the rest of their menu.

I really like this place compared to Subway. The staff here is always friendly compared to subway in all 3 Kaneohe locations. The subs here are the BOMB!!! The 8″ is the perfect size for me and I’m not a small person. When I want to have a couple meals, I get the large… Um Um Good! I always call my order in and they have it waiting for me when I arrive. Very pleased and give a very happy Thumbs Up!!!

Cute little place to stop on by. My hubby got the love at first sight and I got the HiSub. Mine had lots of lettuce, but thats ok, I took it off. The bread was amazing and hubby really liked his sandwich. He was glad they did not put a lot of pesto.

I feel in love with HI Sub’s location in town and was even more excited to find one on here on the Windward side! They are the best sandwiches/​subs on the Island. The bread is amazing and the ingredients are fresh… like they don’t even cut them until you order! So plan on waiting a few minutes for a life changing sub. If you want one that is «instant» or super quick go to Subway. Although you may wait a little longer for your meal it will be worth it.

The bread is great! It’s so soft and fluffy and they make it locally with their own recipe. Toasted or not, you can’t go wrong. They will make to order or get one of their premade options.
Not much seating room, but worth checking out for a quick sandwich on the go. Service was very friendly, fast, and pleasant as well. Charming!

Waited over 30 minutes for ONE sub sandwich. The two workers didn’t seem to care. When I ordered, there was only one person in front of me waiting for his sandwich. It shouldn’t take over 30 minutes to make a sub sandwich… Ridiculous and unacceptable. This place was better when it was Aloha subs. Now it’s just a place with good sandwiches and terrible service. Will take my business else where.

On November 1, 2015, this place changed its name (used to be Aloha Sub), and therefore, the sandwich names also changed. Same owners and quality. It’s still related to the Kalihi location. It’s still the same clean and trendy place with free parking in the front of Ko’olau Plaza, next to King Windward Nissan on Kamehameha Highway.
Sandwich names include «Braddah Reuben», «Kanak Attack», «Love at First Bite», and «Da Any Kine». So hard to decide which one… Finally got the «Broke Da Mouth» without jalapeños because I really don’t want my mouth broken! Ai ya!
The verdict: Yum!
On my own, I wouldn’t combine pastrami with papaya seed dressing, sprouts, and cheddar cheese, but somehow, it all turned out well! The creativity surprised me and made my tummy very happy! Thanks for helping me with all of the choices! Your suggestions were perfect!
I’m looking forward to my next visit so I can try the other selections and «talk story» again with the friendly and helpful staff! (Uncle wrote on my take out menu: «HOT» for the toasted bread and «KALIHI» for items that are only available at the other location since «no moa room at dis store yet». Cute, no?!)

Call your order in ahead of time! We waited 25 minutes for a kanak attack and veggie sandwich. Other than that the sandwiches were good, just like the kalihi location.

I’m so glad this is conveniently located just near my house. With nearly 30 different sandwich combinations to choose from, be sure to take your time to find the one that’ll satisfy your cravings! Anything from pastrami, to salami, Turkey and roast beef, they are generous with their meats and veggies and to top it off you can pick your dressings for your sandwich, my favorite is the papaya seed dressing… They have alfalfa sprouts, which I love and house made bread, nice and soft! Just be sure to check their hours of operation, they close at 4pm M-​S and 3pm on Sunday! All prices are for a half sandwich, and full is big enough for 4 servings, so you’ll have plenty to take home! Talk about a deal!

Hi sub is a great place to get your favorite sub sandwich in Kaneohe. As they say «Da Best Subs on the Island». Always fresh and stuffed full of your favorites goodies. Previously this was Aloha Sub.
