I live in town but was recommended by my gf’s brother to take my car here for an honest quote and thorough job. I did take my car to 2 shops in town prior to taking my car to Ricky so I already had a ballpark figure of the costs. Ricky fixed my car for $ 175 LESS than the lowest quote I received! It’s been months and my car runs great! Hard to find local (non chain) shops who are honest and take pride in their work. Not sure if he works alone or if he’s the owner but I would highly recommend Ricky for your car repairs! Top notch!

Went there for my AC it wasent working properly he checked it out & was done… I was able to pick my car up early… service was excellent my Ac feels like new I highly recommend it here.

This was my first visit to Ricky’s shop and I was thoroughly impressed with how I was treated. I was greeted with a smile and received quick and courteous service. Without getting into too much detail, he put the customer (me) first where I am CERTAIN other shops would not have, at his OWN expense! This is sadly becoming a rare commodity these days, and I really appreciate it when I come across it. Thanks Ricky, from a VERY satisfied customer!

HONEST, reliable and honest about the PRICE too. I was told by a ‘mechanic’ at my safety check that I needed a new CV boot on the left front tire. Welp – I don’t have 4WD so there is NO CV boot there… I took it to Kaneohe Auto Care on friend’s rec’s and he immediately noted no CV boot… and also that the tie rods/​bearings needed replacing-​that was what was clanging around… and it was better to replace the entire thing than just one part due to the price of parts being nearly equal. My truck runs GREAT now. He also did the shocks as Kam highway pot-​hole-​city ate em. He knew i was hauling heavy tile etc so did that for me – which aded to the bill but not by much. It was NEEDED. conclusion: Honest work, does what’s needed, does NOT pad bill. Will return with my 2000 honda for a tune up!
HE IS WORTH WAITING FOR AN OPENING TO GET YOUR VEHICLE FIXED RIGHT.

Didn’t pass my safety check because the light above my back license plate was out; they changed the bulbs but it still didn’t work. Told me it was an electrical problem. Because I recently moved to Kaneohe, I didn’t know where to go. Checked Unilocal & found pretty good reviews for Ricky & Kaneohe Auto Care. Dropped in, noticed the shop was clean & well maintained; talked to Ricky & he knew exactly what needed to be done. I also had been having issues w/​what I thought was my ignition but Ricky found it was my starter. He changed everything in a snap & the price was o.k. for me. I’m definitely making Ricky my new mechanic!!! Thanx for a job well done :)

Great shop! Honest owner. I took my car in to have my gaskets replaced. I was told the job would take one full day and need to leave my car overnight. Ricky tells me that I can rent a car from Hertz (one block from shop) at a discount if I mention that my car is being repaired there. Awesome! $ 30 for a rental and just a few steps away. Super convenient and my car runs better than ever. A+ service and highly recommend for any car repair services.

The best place to go for honest repairs on the windward side. The owner Ricky was able to fix my car that the other shops couldn’t fix. The check engine light came on two months ago so I took it to three different shops to fix it but the light kept coming back after they changed all kinds of parts that cost me a lot. They said I needed these parts but my check engine light kept returning after a few days. Ricky found the real problem and actually fixed my car for less than the other shops charged me to not fix it. I would highly recommend this shop if you want your car fixed right without wasting your time and money. Thanks Ricky.

If you want the job done quickly? Go someplace else but, if you want the job done correctly and by a perfectionist? Go to Sean, cause I guarantee you he wont let you take your car until he’s satisfied he’s done his best! I would highly recommend him!!! Got him on my speed dial
