I had my first appointment with Dr. JP Clark yesterday. He is friendly, open and professional. He made me feel very comfortable with his easy style. He is informative and takes the time to talk with you. I would recommend him! His office staff is also very nice!

I have so enjoyed being a patient here during our time in the islands. Quick appointments that start on time, warm doctors who make you feel comfortable, plenty of aloha! The office is chic and clean. The location is easy for windward dwellers.

I just returned from an appt with Dr. JPClark. The office is filled with pictures that JPC took on the walls. It wasn’t crowded, there were kids and I found the office by following the cry of a child. Totally expected. Again, not crowded. It was my first appt so I filled out some paperwork, but not stacks and stacks, just two front and back I believe. Also it’s worth noting, the print outs were clear and not junky xeroxes. My wait time was short. They have the stupid weigh scale right when you walk in. Who’s the interior designer telling all these OBG-​YN places to put their scale right at the door?
When I initially called to make my appt, I got the answering machine a few times. The next day I got JPC himself but his voice was low and I wasn’t expecting the doctor to answer so I hung up in his face. I called a week later and got a receptionist like lady and made my appt with her. Yes, I’m weird.
I was searching for a «gentle» doctor and JPC’s name came up a few times when I did some googling. Once meeting him, this proved to be true. To me he came off a little eccentric, with a warm inviting personality. He did not rush and answered all my questions. Another nice thing, he expressed concern about my hypertension and made sure I was taking care of it (I am). He was gentle and I didn’t cry which was a nice win for me.
The only thing I didn’t love is the nurse came into the room for the exam. But kudos to her cause she assisted him (handed him that long q-​tip thingy). She didn’t stand there looking with him, she actually had her head purposefully turned away and she made her self disappear into the wall, I hardly noticed her.
One more thing, JPC wore a headlight, the kind miners or night hiker wear. AND he had on a gold necklace. It was kinda funny and fit him well.
I traveled far from my side of town and it was completely worth it. Very gentle, patient and knowledgable doctor. Glad I found him!

Awesome! Needed an annual check up a few months after moving to the island. Dr Clark was great! Made me feel very comfortable and answered all my questions. Defiantly recommend.

Go somewhere else

When I found out I was pregnant I immediately knew I wanted to have a good connection with the doctor who was going to help me along my pregnancy, labor and delivery. I was referred to Dr. LD Clark by a close friend after having a horrible experience at my original OBGYN. From the very beginning we loved her warm and calm personality and how she made an extra effort to help us feel comfortable with such a scary (and exciting) life experience. She is an amazing doctor and I recommend her to all you ladies! I honestly believe that Dr. Clark is one of the main reasons why I had such a great pregnancy and delivery!
