I haven’t been this excited for a store in awhile, but believe you me — I am SUPER excited about this store. Embrace is split into three separate stores: sports stuff, clothing/miscellaneous items you would find in a consignment store, and furniture. I only went into the Sports and Furniture ones. Sports: –Lots of hella cool sports gear: Treadmills, sports rackets, basketballs, golf clubs. Great for work out newbies like me who don’t want to spend a lot in startup cost, if they’re not going to follow through. We got two tennis rackets for $ 15 total(one was $ 5 and one was $ 10.) Granted they are used and took a little bit of a beating, but hell — I don’t even know if I like paying tennis, so the price was right. –Clothes: most of the store is filled with racks of them. There were jerseys, Cubs/Sox/Bears/Bulls shirts, local team apparel, and different odds and ends. Some prices were really good although, I thought some stuff was fairly overpriced. My mom got my bro a Nike Cubs shirt for $ 9. –Service wasn’t great ATALL. The guy that was working had a friend in there and never once asked if we needed help or even acknowledged our existence. Grrr — my total pet peeve. Had I not been on the hunt for the tennis rackets, I would have jumped ship. Furniture: –They packed a lot of furniture stuff in there. There was some cool stuff. I saw a black and white painted side table for $ 40 that I really wanted despite the fact that it would match nothing in my apartment. Couches seemed reasonable and dang, I would love to get one. –Service was a lot friendlier. A gentleman working asked if he could show us anything in particular or if we needed help. All in all, I was overly impressed with the selection and I’m sure I’ll find myself here a lot.
