Jimmy John’s

This is one of the few restaurants on this side of town AND they deliver! I work nearby and have ordered lunch for myself (and/​or my entire unit) weekly for nearly three years now. The online ordering makes it super easy and delivery IS freaky fast. 98% of the time my order has been right and the food has been delicious.
These are the two encounters that have made my chuckle:
1. Coworker finds huge hair in sandwich after eating half, throws it away, calls JJ to tell them what happened. The manager tells her that they need to see the physical sandwich and hair to do anything about it. What?! We had it delivered… are you going to drive here to observe the sandwich and string of hair? Coworker tells employee she threw it away so they tell her they’ll put her name down and give her a free sandwich but NEXT TIME, they’ll need to see it first.
2. Delivery driver forgets my drink. She apologized and I tell her not to worry about it. She says she will be right back anyway. Then she comes back with a huge drink from Huey’s One Stop for me… hahahha.
We still order from here all the time so I’d recommend, especially if you work in the area!

This is my favorite Jimmy John’s location that I’ve tried so far. Extremely speedy, always friendly employees and extra fresh food. There’s so many different menu options that I like, but my favorite is either the Hunter’s Club or the Vito. I’m still sad that JJ’s corporate got rid of the sprouts though :(If you’re trying to go low-​carb or breadless, order the Unwich. It’s the same sandwich but wrapped in lettuce. So good!
I worked down the street a few years ago and they would always have our sandwiches delivered within 10 minutes. No joke — they are ridiculously ‘freaky fast’ here.
The only downside is that this location closes earlier than the one in Bourbonnais and Manteno, so you just have to plan your cravings around it. You can even order online and have your perfect sandwich waiting for you.
