First off the game of baseball gets 5 stars. I’d go back for the baseball anytime and will. Thirsty Thursday beer selection was pretty decent and very affordable. Popcorn wa purchased, but upon consumption appeared to be leftovers from games past or poured into the popper from a bag. Pretzel was good. Need to try the park concession stand next time to see if they have a spark/love for food. Now I was at the park years ago when it was fresh and new. They were the Boll Weevils then. Today the park is showing it’s age. Somewhat expected. The bathrooms were not expected. They looked like college dorm baths that see cleanings once a year. Park aging is as said expected scummy bathrooms are not. So the game was great, the park needs a face lift and some personal pride. Don’t get me started on an alligator mascot. Put a man/woman in a #3 race car suit and have them Intimidate park patrons or bring back the Boll Weevil.

Évaluation du lieu : 5 Concord, NC
Professional baseball where the tickets and food are still relatively inexpensive and the players are still young, accessible for autographs and generally friendly. Nice ballpark and great staff as well. I always go to a half-dozen or so games a year! Fireworks shows never disappoint!

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Charlotte, NC
It may be argued that Charlotte proper does not have a baseball team, since the«Charlotte» Knights actually do not play in the city. For that matter, they do not even play in the same state. It is not a terrible drive to reach the stadium, but it is most definitely not uptown, and it may be some time before you can see baseball in the QC(if ever). So you do what you must do, and hit the road. If you are not interested in heading to another state, then one of the options is to head just past Concord Mills(an adventure in itself) and to the former home of the Piedmont Boll Weevils. One of the most interesting nicknames changed, however, after Dale Earnhardt purchased a share of the team way back in 2000(wow — I remember some old stuff) and the name was changed to the Intimidators to reflect his ownership. As to the game, it is your fairly standard minor-league baseball team, and the facility is decent, but one thing that will get you is the late-afternoon sun, which can shine right into the first-base bleachers. You might want to sit along the third-base line instead!
