Mighty Dollar

This is definitely an experience in dollar store shopping. You never know what you may find. Somethings are worth much more than a dollar. Other things are not even worth looking at.
You can find an array of items from cosmetics, shampoos and conditioners, pet supplies and toys for kids young and old. Some are name brand others are off brand. Some of the off brand items are better than a high name brand. It’s a chance and I am comfortable gambling one dollar.
What is sad is if it’s good and you want or need more, when it’s gone, it’s gone. A bit of advice: keep your count! The cashier’s input each item by just counting. There is one cashier that will I promise you, will over count anything over four items. I have had to have her recount each item as many as three times.
I don’t know if it was done purposely or an oversight. On many occasions she attempted to charge me significantly more than I was supposed to pay. An example was I had 33 items, she charged me for 40 items. We had to take it out of the bags three times to recount.
It may sound as though I don’t like it. I really do it’s just an honest assessment of what you will find and what to expect. Let my experience make your shopping better. It can be fun if you are an adventurous dollar store shopper.

This is adventurous shopping at its best! You never know what you’re going to find here and everything is a dollar.
Caveat:
There is one cashier in particular that will overcharge you. Often! Make sure that you know how much you are buying because their method of ringing things up can be confusing. If the number count doesn’t match up, do not be afraid to ask for a recount.
Atmosphere:
The place is neat, gray and rather drab. It looks like a warehouse. It is no frills savings and bottom line prices.
A Note:
Seriously thrifty and the bag situation is REAL in Mighty Dollar! They will not bag certain items, such as bread or soda. They will charge five cents to double bag something. If you purchase a reusable shopping bag they save on bags by assuming «not» asking, that you will use your new bag so they can keep their precious bags and whatever cents each one cost.
Staff:
Most of the people who work here are so friendly and personable. But don’t get attached! The employee turnover is quick. It appears they treat their employees so poorly that they leave rather quickly. If that doesn’t bother you — shop away.
The bag struggle is real, but so are the savings! You will save on everything from bread to spices through car care and close out items.
