Zona Rosa has added cupcakes to their repertoire. Cupcakes are abundant…9 all the time, additional 5 that rotate by the day. High protein, gluten free, vegan and diabetic. Variety is their strong suit! as well as suppling sweet treats to those with dietary challenges, that, thank God! I do not suffer from! I sampled 3 cupcakes, just to be fair, Toffee Crunch, Peanut Butter Craving, and Snickerdoodle. They were all good… but, not great. For my personal preference, I thought the proportion of frosting to cake was off. Way too much frosting, but I’m sure that there are those of you out there that are chomping at the bit and wiping saliva off your lips just thinking about the piles of frosting. Also, I feel that $ 3.50 is excessive for a smallish cupcake. Another small point of contention for me, was the large cinnamon stick stuck in my cupcake as decoration… totally inedible. But if you are in need of a fix for a sweet treat addiction … Addictions Cupcakery is conveniently located as you enter Zona Rosa, on the West side of the street, with ample parking in the back. Endulge your addiction!

Unfortunately, it looks like this place is no longer in business, their cupcakes were delicious!

I love their cupcakes. The Raspberry Vanilla Drizzle cupcake is my fav! I’ve also tried the Toffe Caramel, which was great, and I loved the new Samoa(girl scout inspired) cupcake! I liked the Maple Bacon one too, but didn’t realize it wasn’t a cupcake(more of a cinnamon roll) bc no one told me at the shop. If I knew how to eat it I would have enjoyed it more. All my friends loved the other cupcakes I got them. The only one that might be iffy is the Diabetic Friendly cupcake, the banana bread. My friend said the frosting on that was not very good. But what I think what separates them from other cupcake shops is the cake part itself. It’s not just plain cupcake(that I can make from a box at home) with the tasty frosting on top like Smallcakes. The cake itself is moist and compliments the frosting.

We tried the chocolate sin and vanilla vixen cupcakes and they were decadent and excellent. Very clean place, excellent service. I fully recommend this for dessert in Zona. Don’t overpay for dessert at the Zona restaurants — come here for a better and less expensive treat after dinner. Parking shouldn’t be an issue, there are convenient lots on the west(rear) side of the building.

The best part about Addictions Cupcakery(besides the goofy 7 Deadly Sins theme) is the fact that they cater to just about any dietary restriction out there. I don’t know of any other from-scratch place that offers sugar-free, gluten-free or vegan cupcakes along with the high-octane versions. I’m usually a fan of Salted Caramel … their offering did not disappoint. But their true claim to fame is the Gluttonous Pig … yes, made with maple syrup and bacon.(Split one … they’re lethal.) Friendly service, cheery atmosphere and sheer variety of cupcake choices make this place a winner.

Since I didn’t get any of the ones we bought and they’re all gone, I’m going to assume everyone liked them. Parking is an issue, but that’s everything in Zona Rosa.

Had the raspberry filled cupcake and it was the best piece of cake I’ve ever tasted. Wife had the salted caramel cupcake and loved it. We will definitely be back.

The place looks great, but its another story for the Cupcakes. We bought 6 to sample in the morning so we knew they were fresh. The cake was dry and the frosting was overly thick compared to the many Gourmet Cupcake places I’ve been. I would not consider this place a gourmet cupcake place if it weren’t for the cost of each cupcake. I was quite disappointed.

I wanted to like this place but the cupcakes are small, overpriced, and they don’t taste good. The cupcake I purchased was dry and the icing was very gritty. I ended up throwing most of it away. The employee was also less than helpful — she couldn’t answer a simple question about the cupcake flavors. I won’t go back!

The fiancé and I stopped here after Noodles and Co today. I was quite impressed with what they have done with the place. What used to be a Quiznos, and then On A Roll(which was the Quiznos but with tablecloths), this places looks completely new. What also made me really happy: having a wide selection of cupcakes to choose from and they were ALL in stock. She didn’t have any Salty Caramel cupcakes in front, but she had one out to me in less than 3 minutes. I love that. I feel often the cupcakey places have a small selection and I often have to cycle through a few choices before landing on one I want that is actually available. The cupcakes themselves. Really good. I loved the salted caramel and thought the icing to cupcakes ratio was pure perfection. The fiancé got the peanut butter cup and loved it as well. Not dry, just pure perfection. They also had a cupcake with protein touting 23 g of protein. I didn’t get it, but I was intrigued. Now, I can’t give this place more stars. I mean, I’d like to, but I just still have trouble wrapping my head about the value here. The cupcakes were a little smaller than I would have liked. and for $ 3.75(the other reviewers said $ 3.50, but I’m sure we paid $ 3.75 each. I might be wrong though so wanted to point this out) I just expect a little more. This isn’t really Addictions at play here. this whole cupcake fad makes $ 3.5/$ 3.75 a good deal since I’ve seen $ 4.00+, but really? I know, I know. overhead, delicious flavor and unique talents, BUT I can get fro-yo that will fill me up for $ 5, so I find $ 3.75 a little hard to swallow on something that as soon as I am done with it I only immediately want more. Would I come back? I’m not sure. If I was at Old Navy or Dick’s, I might remember the heavenly salted caramel and easily be able to twist the fiancé’s arm into getting a quick bite. I feel more confident about this shop sticking around than the On A Roll or Glass of Milk Cake Company that used to be by Boston Market. Addictions has cupcakes worthy of remembering, plenty in stock, a clean place and ideal location.

I do really enjoy this place a lot. I love that they have different types of cupcakes for those who have dietary needs. Depending on the baker/the time of day you come in some of the cupcakes can be a little dry, but the flavor is there! They put the right amount of frosting on the cupcake, and everything that I have had is just delish!

A chocolate peanut butter protein cupcake that tastes this amazing(and is under 250 calories) should be illegal… okay, well maybe not because then I couldn’t eat it nearly as often as I would want to.
