If you want an orgasm go ahead an order a vanilla and cheesecake concrete! Taste amazing and always good the next day if you cant finish it. Customer service is great, I like how you order face to face in the drive thru. It’s really quick and I usually get my custard before my change. One recommendation that I do have is to have an idea of what kinda of toppings or combination you want. There are a ton of choices so be prepared!

I stopped in for an apple pie concrete the other day. The first half was great, with big chunks of apple and crust. The second half was plain custard. This was my second visit to Andy’s with similar results. The topping doesn’t get completely mixed in and you get stuck with plain custard at the end. For $ 6.11 for a medium, this is not acceptable. I just don’t think Andy’s is worth the price. I gave it two tries and won’t be going back.

Mostly limited to concretes, but I think it is worth the trip when you are craving custard. They even have a drive thru however they only have a few benches. No tables or chairs.

I like Andy’s. I’m actually familiar with it from the South. It’s pretty solid for custard. The workers were friendly. At least they have been to me every time that I’ve gone here. The kids loved it. I love the fact that it’s freshly made. I also like the variety. I know that my kiddos are big fans, partially because of memories made in other cities where there are Andy’s. The service was great. I love that everyone working was smiling. Service with a smile means a lot in my eyes. The portions were decent. I’m impressed. We’ll definitely be back.

Everytime i go i ask myself ‘is this the best ice cream(custard) treat ive ever put in my mouth?’ and the answer is always yesssssssss! I go for the basic hot fudge sundae… they have one called ozark something with pecans… thats the one! My friend usually customizes a concrete. Then were silent for the next 15 minutes in custard coma bliss One thought that could improve this situation is if they would provide us with lids when we go through the drive thru. Not that we could make it the 4 minute drive home without getting into it.

Pro: YOUCANGET A SLICEOFPUMPKINPIEDIRECTLYBLENDEDINTO A CUPOFCUSTARD Con: YOUCANGET A SLICEOFPUMPKINPIEDIRECTLYBLENDEDINTO A CUPOFCUSTARD That pretty much sums it up. Everything at Andy’s is amazing during the process of eating it. Afterwards, you work on getting over the guilt to make a return trip at some point in the future. Once you remember that the service is awesome, the custard is constantly being freshly made, they bake the freaking pumpkin pie in the store, and you aren’t worried about a cashier waiting on your order while you stare at your options(you order at the actual drive-up window instead of talking to the menu), you are slowly lulled back toward this frozen concoction paradise. This review is only relevant during the fall season, so I guess I’ll have to find something else to obsess over on their menu once the pie is all gone…

How can you go wrong with frozen custard? They closed at 11 and we showed up at 11:15(Their hours change for winter) but the manager was awesome and still served us! They have a large list of create your own toppings for concretes, as well as malts, shakes, and root beer floats among other things. I had chocolate with marshmallow crème and peanut butter cups. Decently priced. Delicious as expected.

I love Andy’s. My family has made many trips out of the way if we are even near Springfield to get Andys so imagine my joy and surprise when I saw that one opened in KC! And it is just as good as the original. LOVE. Way better than Sheridan’s for sure.

Fantastic on the basis of the quality of the custard alone. Sheridan’s is fine and all in a pinch, but this is in league with the OG of frozen custard, Kopp’s in Milwaukee… reading their literature, was not surprised to find that the founders were inspired by eating frozen custard in Milwaukee. Perfectly textured, rich in flavor, and just glorious. Far more rich and buttery than competitors’ in the area. Not that it needs any of the mix-ins, which can be gilding the lily with truly good custard, their roasted pecans are perfection. The also serve Wisconsin’s Sprecher sodas, which means a root beer float made here has to be out of this world. Fun, cute, and yummy!

TOTALLY a fan! This frozen custard is GOOD and the toppings are somehow always perfect. The only downside is the lack of seating, but I guess that’s kind of part of the appeal of Andy’s too. All the people sitting on concrete steps or just standing around kind of adds to the nostalgic summery vibe.

This place is an excellent addition to Westport! It has a convenient location(right on my way home from Westport if I’m at any of my usual spots around there). Also, it has a drive thru. I went by on my way home from dinner last night and, even though it was raining, there was a girl standing in the drive thru taking your order. This reminded me of In N Out and how they run their drive thru. When I got to the window, I paid quickly and they handed me my order. It was faster than the Sheridan’s drive thru(though, to be fair, that drive thru is slow as molasses). I had the Key Lime Pie Concrete and got the Peach Concrete for my husband(their current specials). The peach one was filled with large pieces of peach and the key lime one truly did have a slice of pie blended into it. They were both quite tasty. The only negative I can think of for this place is their seating situation. It appeared that there were a couple of benches on the side of the building. These were filled by a couple of young women(who appeared to just be hanging out and not actually partaking in the custard). A family of 6 came near them once they had their custard and then just stood there to eat. It looked quite awkward from my spot in the drive thru. They could definitely use some picnic tables or something over there. Some of their concoctions(like the sundaes) would require the use of a spoon and I’m sure people would like to have a surface space of some kind to set their cups on. Other than a lack of seating, this place is great.

At some point custard is custard right?! I think this is a few percent better than Sheridans. Concretes were solid and its made fresh on the hour. Service was quick and on point. No place to sit indoors. They have some outdoor benches, but its a grab and go type deal. They do have a drive through!

Having an Andy’s Frozen Custard within 10 minutes walking distance is downright dangerous. I am generally pretty good at fending off sweets but it doesn’t take much for me to succumb to their concrete with an extra order of peanut butter cups! If I wasn’t committed to running and keeping my weight in check then I would probably just come here every day, damned be the consequences, for Andy’s Frozen Custard is the best! I have come here 5 or so times since they opened earlier this summer and every experience has been great. The service is friendly and no matter how crowded they are I am able to get my order placed and received very quickly. If you are looking to pick up another bad habit then give them a try!

This will be a serious issue having an Andy’s close by the house. Typically, I’ve had to wait until I head to Springfield or Branson, now this goodness is around the corner. Now this is a new location and I want everyone to have patience while they train and get all the kinks worked out. You can’t go wrong with a simple double scoop cone and large tap rootbeer.

There are very few Frozen Custard places in Kansas City so I am pumped this opened! I get the cookie dough chip concrete and it is BOMB!

Good frozen custard, but really needs some work in other areas. I tried a simple chocolate cone. I liked it. Actually no complaints on the custard at all. Well, except that my cone wasn’t full… The D/T has no speaker. You pull up, view the thousands of combinations, and then drive around to the window to order. I can’t see this being anything but a mess. Slower service because they can not start prepping orders(the purpose of a D/T, to speed service!). Forgetting what you want why you wait stacked three cars to order. A family with a car full of children trying to figure out everyone’s orders and keep them straight until you reach the window. Just not well thought out at all. I expected a menu at the window too to help remind customers of the options, nope. If you park or walk from a surrounding neighborhood, there is no seating. A small dining area, some picnic tables, benches, etc. would make a lot of sense. They obviously want customers to get their ice cream and leave. With a society that is increasingly walking, this is not well thought out at all. A nice addition to the city, it should be great when they finish it(they seriously aren’t done, right?!)

The legend of Andy’s has come to Kansas City. For years I’ve known of Andy’s goodness in Springfield, MO. We closely monitored construction progress on Westport Rd. and cheered their recent grand opening. There aren’t many other choices for frozen custard around midtown. Murray’s is close as well as other über-hib gelato places, but Andy’s fills the suburban void of frozen custard for everyone around the Plaza, Westport, Midtown, Crossroads, KCK, and Downtown areas. We checked out the new digs last night and weren’t disappointed. The drive thru line was full(about 5 cars in front of us) but moved quickly, especially with an employee standing outside with an iPad assisting with the ordering process. Prices are comparable to other custard spots around the area though the menu is a little more limited(if you don’t include making your own concrete creations). A royal turtle sundae and snowmonster concrete set us back about 11 bucks after tax. Not a bad deal for the quantity and definitely not for the quality. Yum! Both treats were quickly prepared and tasted great. It won’t be a frequent stop for us, but a treat nevertheless when our sweet tooth wins out. Check them out soon!

Love this custard! There’s a couple other custard places in KC, but Andy’s may have ‘em beat. It’s lighter and sweeter, I think? Lots of toppings and choices to make your own creations. I also love that we no longer have to drive 20+ minutes for custard. Tonight was our first time here, and we’ll be back.

Live near here and have been really looking forward to having some of their yummy goodness for a couple months as I watched them building the store. It’s pretty good and prices are fair. The staff were pleasant and service was fast. It’s nice to have a custard place near the house and if we get the munchies late at night I will for sure go back. That said, I would rather have Culver’s or Sheridan’s for my custard fix. Not that Andy’s was bad, just my preference.

Amazing frozen custard on an accessible stretch that’s open late on summer weekends? Yes, yes and more yes! I’ve been so excited to check this place out as I’ve tried the Springfield, MO spots way back in the day. The place looks good, especially being on a not so visually appealing stretch of Westport. It has a sort of retro feel with a space age style font(is that right? That doesn’t feel right. Well, you get the gist.) There’s a big patio where people can check out the menu and also a big drive-thru along the sides. Custard-wise, this was damn good. I loved the concrete I got, which was vanilla with blackberries and«melted chocolate chip.» They explained that a little more and it’s essentially like a chocolate shell that is blended up with it. Get it! The only thing keeping this from being a fantastic experience was that there was zero seating. We were lucky enough to snag a spot on the steps, but that’s only because it was the middle of the day and even then we still felt obtrusive to people walking around us. No benches, seats or even a seating area seems like a pretty big misstep but again, this spot JUST opened so maybe they have some things planned for it? I’ll check back, and it’s certainly not enough of a concern to keep me from my frozen custard.
