I LOVE Boulevard yoga. I purchased the one-month unlimited option because I had one month left of clinicals downtown. I found the yoga practice here to be truly amazing. The instructors that I had always took the time to walk around the room to make sure that everyone was comfortable and was using good form. I appreciate their focus on healing and being well over other yoga studios that I have been to that really lose the wellness touch and focus more on the physicality of the practice. The facility itself is really clean and decorated really nicely. The staff are very personable and seem to take a vested interest in their client’s practice. I once had laryngitis but decided to show up anyways. The front desk woman must have told the instructor about my inability to talk because the instructor came over to me to help release tension in my chest. After struggling for days as a mute working in a hospital, I gained a little bit of my voice back just with some great relaxation tips! On other days, I would come in physically tired and would come out mentally alert and at ease. I really wish I could continue to go to Boulevard, but I will have to wait until I have the funds to continue.

This studio is very nice and clean. yoga instructors are great and provide a strong yoga flow. You feel very good after leaving each practice. If only my schedule allowed me to attend all of their classes. I would definitely recommend this studio and love their style of yoga.

I love that this studio is so close to my office. They have lunch time sessions that work very well with my schedule and they are a discounted price(BONUS). I am not a big Yoga person so I wanted to try their beginner class with Michelle. It was great. I did not feel intimidated or overwhelmed. I felt like I could go at my own pace. They also have everything you need, so I did not have to worry about bringing anything with me.

You should know I’m a little partial to this place. They are my business neighbors. But nonetheless are a solid five stars! I have been fortunate to not only have such great neighbor’s to find this quality of service so close. I’ve seen both Chris and Travis for Acupuncture services. Both are professional, considerate, knowledgeable, helpful, ethical and just genuinely good people. They both have a great bedside manner as well as a wealth of information. They are the real deal! I’ve been around the world of alternative medicine for years… there’s a lot of scams and worthless claims of healing. Not only do I find acupuncture to be a valuable modality… but these guys are considered the top in the area. If you’re looking for validation of the effectiveness of Acupuncture… I give my approval(as does my ex, the family practice physician). If you’re looking to choose a practitioner… I give my approval of both Chris and Travis… as do the several patrons who have visited with me after receiving their services next door. Oh… and how about that office staff!!! Kuddos girls for being so professional yet so personable.

I’m a fan of the«healing arts» side of this business. I started going to Lynette for massages almost 3 years ago because I was tired of my bi-yearly-stress-induced-put-me-out-of-commission back spasms. So far, so gone. I get the impression she sees my pain as a puzzle that needs to be solved and she uses whatever technique is necessary to help it go away – seems there’s something new every visit. That usually means going deep, but she is also very conscientious about my level of comfort along the way. The staff is great, as well, and they go out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of. Be healed.

I’ve never taken a yoga class here, but I’ve heard good things. I can recommend their massage therapy as the best in town. They can accommodate all levels of pressure, but if you prefer deep tissue massage then this is the place to go and Jennifer is the therapist you should book with.

I love Boulevard Yoga! The staff/instructors are welcoming and knowledgeable. The environment has a great open feel to it. It’s locale is in the heart of KC crossroads art district… cool ‘hood. I first took my grandpa to acupuncture here to help with alleviating some of his pain and symptoms as he was dying of cancer. Everyone was so loving to my family and these are the things that count, folks. I began yoga regularly here and my body, mind and mental state tuned and toned up. I followed it with a bit of acupuncture myself and ahhh, ommmm… it’s an all-around fabulous healing environment. Step in it!

I only stepped into the space, what looked like an old garage, and the 30 foot ceilings in the huge yoga room just blew me away. I remember the yoga teacher Jennifer from Maya Yoga, and I followed her here. Hey, the first class is free, give it a shot. I’m not going to give it the full 5 stars yet, cause I don’t want it to look like favoritism, and they did just opened it in July. Also, a word about the bathrooms: they are the real deal bathrooms, with a shower, changing bench, and fresh towels. Wow. You’d think it was a hotel. Well, they also have the toilets and stuff, and no concierge, but you’ll get by. Overall, this place is growing, and in my experiences, Jennifer focuses a lot of ‘female’ yoga, whatever that may be, such as heart openings, rising the sternum, and shoulder retractions. Jennifer does a great job promoting the relaxation part of yoga. It’s a great experience, and she and her compatriots show you how important it is to just let go and relax. In fact, they do acupuncture and massage, too, but I haven’t gone there yet. As far as the class levels go, the beginner classes are comfortable for beginners and advanced, and they are as challenging as you will make them for yourself. In the more advanced classes you will be pushed to a higher standard of poses and with less time to prepare. It’s really a great workout and it will give you a good update on what you need to work on in your own yoga situation. There is another teacher, Drew, who has this British accent I can’t quite place. Manchester? Anyhow, he is a very softspoken, demure teacher who really relies on the student to take his instruction and amend it to their own bodies. With that in mind, he is a great compliment to Jennifer in that he focuses a lot of the movements from the pelvis, reminding you to be aware of where you are breathing in your torso, and to keep ‘the contents of your belly from spilling out everywhere’. So it’s a nice balance.
