I always strive to find a good liquor store with a great selection of local craft beers… The beers I know I cannot get at home.
Through the Unilocal reviews, I came across this gem. Doesn’t look like much on the outside, but don’t let that deceive you. There’s a great selection of local craft brews and then some! The beer selection available was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Will keep this place in mind next time I pass through town.

This is the best liquor store I’ve found in the north KC area. The selection is fabulous, prices reasonable and the proprietor, an Asian American fellow, is friendly and helpful. My go to spot for craft bourbons in NKC.

The new store is fantastic, I’m a big beer guy, and living in the crossroads not a lot of places have the square footage to put the beer volume out these guys do. Cooked stave, mikkler, TONS of Belgium beers. The owners knew thier beers a d k we what I was looking for. We chatted beer for a while, than headed out. Bought 6 bombers, 2 six packs and some small craft imports.
This place is the go to bottle shop in Kansas city. Done looking, worth the trip.

If you give them lots of business they will reward you with hard to find bottles. I love this place! Class acts.

Nice new store with a good selection. Unfortunately unless you buy a lot of liquor from this place they have little interest in helping you find anything unique. I’ve asked about a number of special order bourbons and had a few distribution questions — always came away with a less than satisfying answer.
Probably a good option in the Northland if you really get to know them. Otherwise I’d suggest somewhere like Gomer’s or Lansing Liquor.

Visiting family in KC and came across this store on Unilocal.Fantastic craft beer selection. The make your own six pack option for $ 8.99 is also nice if you are looking to try new beers.

Amazing store, has a huge variety of craft beers and liquor. Hands down favorite place to go to look for new stuff. Great owners and staff too, very helpful!

Geeat prices, advice, insight, samples! No where else can you go for this kind of service unless you want to drive down to Lucas Superstore in Martin City.

I remember when this was a quant little beer store with a selection that is impressive for Missouri, and I could get my limited releases. Oh how the times have changed.
Last Thursday I called to inquire about a limited release by Founders that hadn’t beer released yet. I asked to be put on a waitin list. The lady (bad English communication skills) told me no, I asked if I could just be called when it came in so I could rush up there. She said ok, but refused to take down my information… I asked then how she would get ahold of me, her reply was no. I was confused, said thank you, and hung up. I called back every day 3 times a day, it was usually the owner who rudely answered, my persistency obviously was an inconvenience to him watching tv. He said that when it get here it go on shelf. Today I called him for the last time, because he then informed me it came & went yesterday. When I reminded him he has a duty to provide service to a customer by communication he called me a f****** idiot, and said he doesn’t care who gets it, he puts it on the shelf to avoid a hastle. I was stunned, and would like to call the BBB on him.

A hidden gem in the Northland, Bubbles is now my favorite liquor store in the area. They post all their new, craft brew arrivals on Facebook, so you can keep track of when you need to get down there for say, hard to get Boulevard releases. The owners knows where everything is on the shelves, so if you have trouble locating something, just ask and she can point you exactly to it or tell you it’s out of stock.
The prices are competitive, and we came across some bottles we’d never seen before, making the trip worth while.

Great selection of Scotch! I was able to find a few different independent bottlings as well as all of the major (and some not so major) distillers.

Ben and Vee are a fine example of small business owners. They are both knowledgable and always willing to help me with wine selections.
The wine tastings are fun! And, I love that they know my name.

Bubbles has a huge selection of wine and liquor, a wide variety of beers, and a small humidor with premium cigars.
The staff at Bubbles is friendly and helpful at making recommendations for different drinks. They have a lot of great deals as well.

Bubbles has the best service I have ever received at a liquor store. The couple that owns the place are always ready to chat you up and are very aware of everything they have in stock. I went in this afternoon to find a new beer, which they happened not to have yet. When I asked about it, the guy grabbed the phone and called about 5 different people until he found out when he would get it in. I’m only giving them 4 stars because the warm beer section is a little crowded, and I’d prefer not having to look at a box of hot pickles when I go to check out.
Typically, they get a lot of new releases pretty early. While waiting at the front, a guy walked straight up to the counter and asked for a pint. It’s pretty epic when you can just ask for a pint and the employee knows exactly what type of liquor you want. I imagine it is a daily stop on his schedule.
