Good quick lunch spot. I’m not saying its amazing, but worth the money and time.

I uping my rating to average. I haven’t tried the phở again but I did try the bun thit nuong cha gio(vermicelli noodle with eggroll and grilled pork). They were very conservative with the pork portion but overall it was pretty good. My friend had their beef noodle stirfry noodle dish and reall like that.

This was my 2nd time here. Friendly service and food was decent. The fish sauce chicken wings were good! The egg rolls in my noodles dish were so so and the shrimp seemed to be boiled. I prefer grilled shrimp when eating the Bun dishes. The total of my meal for myself was around $ 24. Steep for an appetizer and noodle dish from a vietnamese spot if you ask me.

Pleasantly pretty sound. The Phở is a 3 rating, but the Banh Xeo I’d have to give it a 4.5 stars. I typically frequent here to get the Banh Xeo because of the fresh veggies that comes with it, and the fact that they cook it to near perfection. If only they do Bun Bo Hue too here. Dang! Oh well, I guess I can always head downtown KCMO if I hunger for a taste of it, or visit my moms. Ha!

I am very disappointed. I ordered shrimp and pork soup and asked them to skip the shrimp and add more pork. Well… Be prepared to pay extra for the meat even if you skip something. Soup was also tasteless. for 10.50 $ i just think they gave me little broth. Please check the pics. The second dish i got tasteless egg noodles with barely any chicken. This has been the worst food i ever had. I won’t be back. Even cafa vie is better. The last time i had soup i was in pad thai restaurant on 144 and metcalf and i got huge pot od pure awesomeness!

The food here isn’t what I would call traditional but it most defiantly authentic! I ordered the sea bass while my fiancé had the shrimp vermicelli both were delicious! The servers were very friendly and welcoming too bad they are not closer to us. If we are ever in the area I’m sure we will be back!

Admittedly I should not be considered a Vietnamese Cuisine expert, I did like the Egg Noodles with Chicken. The 2 ft crucified Jesus staring at me was a but odd, but the food was tasty.

I’m pretty close to loving Café Ha Tien. Not quite there, but they’re still growing on me. I’m a huge fan of their vermicelli bowls and the hubby loves the pork chop which is served with a fried egg. I have tried a couple of their vegetarian dishes, but so far, they haven’t knocked my socks off. I like their sweet potato and shrimp fries, but not quite as much as the comparable dish at iPho Tower which has a bigger serving for a similar price. They have a small selection of wine by the glass and beer but the beer selection is a bit more interesting. The interior is fairly sparse, but there are some Asian-influenced accents here and there. There are some televisions which I find to be distracting and unnecessary in this kind of restaurant. Service is generally fairly quick and always friendly, but sometimes not quite spot on. On a recent visit, they didn’t come back to collect our credit card, so we went up to the register where they accidentally left off one of the items we ordered, so the additional item had to be rung up separately. Not a big deal, but they would have been out some cash if we weren’t honest customers. Prices are really very reasonable. Oh…and Vietnamese coffee… it’s like crack. Yummy, addictive and probably really unhealthy, but sometimes ya just gotta go for it.

A nice Phở is available here and good friendly service. Not much else to say. I do wish this and other places offered Culantro instead of, or in addition to, Thai basil on the little side plate.

It’s good, but it seemed a smidgen pricey for viet cuisine. Spring rolls — 3 for 5.49 Vermicelli — $ 9-$ 10ish Banh Xeo — $ 10.49 I’d be back if I didn’t want to head all the way downtown.

Overcooked phở that fell apart as I tried to eat it. The spring rolls were small and the pork in the spring roll was dry. Not bad but not impressive.

The servers were nice but the shrimp was past it’s expiration for serving to customers, and my meal was ruined. I won’t return.

Food is great. But NEVER try delivery. I placed my order at 6:38pm. At 6:55pm I got a phone call back asking how I wanted to pay and telling me my total. At 7:23pm I called back asking if my foo was going to be delivered. I was informed he left was on his way. He probably stuck in traffic. Only problem with this statement is… I live less than 2 miles from the restaurant and it only takes 10 minutes(with traffic) to drive there. Lesson from this experience… go pick up your food. Hell. I could’ve walked there and been home before he shows up with my food.

I was pleasantly surprised with the food at this Vietnamese restaurant. I ordered a B4 for my hubby(who is gluten free) and a B5 for myself(a gluten enthusiast). Both bowls were full of fresh veggies and herbs and delicious meat and egg roll(in the B5). I did experience the chicken as slightly fatty and wouldn’t order chicken again. The sauce on the bowls didn’t seem to go far enough and next time I will request a second sauce. Word of warning — they are only open till 2pm. I tried to go again today for lunch around 3 and was turned away. I will be back!

Service is always great! I tend to order Bun Salad every time I go to a Vietnamese Restaurant. Just this past year, I’ve been ordering B1 to-go too many times this year from Café Ha Tien. I always ask for a second fish sauce; which taste amazing, BTW. They are kind about it too. I feel that the extra sauce balances the dish out more. The egg rolls are always perfect; they’re my favorite, are always fresh/hot out the fryer, and are crunchy too. The only thing that I would add to the dish to make it even better is to add more carrots, daikon, peanuts, and cucumbers. I love my veggies! Ice Thai Coffee is very good!!! Comparison to Vietnam Café and iPho Tower’s Bun Salad(egg roll) Dish I’d also like to say that Café Ha Tien has the best Bun Salad, when compared to Vietnam Café, and iPhoTower; with iPho Tower, being the worst place to get a Bun Salad; it’s tasteless and watery. Vietnam Café’s bun salad is just bearable, meaning I only ate it because I was hungry; smaller dish than Café Ha Tien, egg rolls were soggy once it arrived from the kitchen, and something is just missing in their sauce.

I gave this place a second chance and found the phở ti to be solid, lots of noodles and a broth with a lot of clove and tasty! I also ordered the crispy dumplings. A nice take on the dumplings with a great dipping sauce.

I came in on a Friday around noon to grab a quick Ban Mi sandwich and iced coffee to go. There might have been 2 tables filled in the dining room. I had a meeting in about 20 mins thinking I can grab the sandwich real quick… UM no, I don’t know how long it takes to make a sandwich and coffee when no one else was ordering but I waited for almost 30min while the 2 people working the dining room wandered around aimlessly. So my sandwich to go… The bread was good and the meat was good too but I don’t know what I was expecting it just didn’t taste like a regular ban mi sandwich to me, more like a bbq pork one. Like when I bit into it I thought it tasted like pulled pork for a min… after that initial reaction I thought it was good. Their vietnamese coffee on the other hand, don’t even bother, it was gross. I don’t know how you can mess this up. There’s some Starbucks frap in a bottle in the fridge, get that. I’d probably try this place again, but I think their services is kind of wonkey

I had Vietnam style sandwich. I don’t eat pork so I ask them replace with beef. So add extra $ 1.25 of KC strip thin slice beef. Meat portion is generous, but would love to see more balance of Vietnam orange color carrot pickle in my sandwich. It adds a sour kick in it, you know. I also order the milk Boba(tapioca) tea. Well, it came out as «milk» smoothie with boba, no «tea» mixed with it. I tried few sips and decided not to drink it since it is not what I wanted. They did take it off the check. So it was an honest service. I did share with them that I grew up from the place where the boba milk tea was originated. You can’t only have milk but without the most important ingredient, the«black tea.» How can you make a drink called«milk tea» when there is no «tea», right? Well, it seems the owner sincerely listen to my suggestion, but have to go back and check next time, to see if they truly add the tea this time. Then, I order flan with mango syrupy, and Vietnamese dripping coffee with condensed milk. It was a good happy coffee and dessert time. The flan was good and I really enjoy it. I haven’t had chance to try their phở yet, but it does look authentic and yummy. I will go back with more friends to check it out. Restaurant is nice, clean and bright. The waiter was friendly and accommodating.

3.5 stars. Super friendly staff, although I wish our waitress had been a bit more knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant is bright & clean, but the Muzak was too loud. The food was good and very fresh. Huge portions, and the to-go containers we took leftovers in weren’t styrofoam– hallelujah! Love the traditional presentation of their Vietnamese coffee. It was a bit more bitter than I like, however. We used a coupon for our fried shrimp appetizer, and I’m glad it was free– they were underwhelmingand overcooked. 2 of our 4 dishes had a strange taste to them that turned us off, but that’s just a personal preference, nothing against the restaurant, and after dousing one in Sriracha it was made palatable. Now that we understand the menu & are aware of our likes & dislikes, we will be back for more.

On my day off from work, I decided to try this place out. This was about 30 minutes away from me so it was far to try some phở out. I came around 12:45pm on a Monday and there was plenty of parking even though this was in the same plaza as the Applebees and Price Chopper. There were a bunch of people here eating lunch and there were plenty of seating remaining. The waitresses were both nice. I looked at their menu online so I had an idea of what I wanted before coming here. The phở selection was limited to two choices from what I saw(#5 phở dac biet for $ 8.50 and #6 phở bo vien for $ 7.25). They had banh mi($ 3.99) as well but I didn’t order that. I decided to order the #6 phở bo vien. It took a few minutes before my food came out. The phở broth looked pretty oily to me and I’m sure phở broth shouldn’t look that oily. The broth was very flavorful so that was a plus. The meatballs were alright and the noodles were just like any other place that had phở. Overall, this place was okay in my opinion and I would say a decent place to eat at if you work close by.
