Hard shell taco plate contains two hard shell tacos, a side of refried beans and rice. Not much that can be done spice up/add flavor to beans right. lol, they are what they are. The hard shell tacos, with the hot taco sauce, were stuff full of beef that was well seasoned and flavorful. Nice dive to pick up a meal for game night or late night out at the club.

Great drunk food after starting a KCK pub crawl. They about anything you might crave when you need to soak up copious amounts of booze. Burgers, tacos, carnitas, fries, curly fries, onion rings, churros, and I’m sure much more. Two tacos did the trick for me! I’ll be back try more.

4.5÷5 This is the PERFECT place for those Friday nights where you just want to lay around in your underwear and watch movies. Or stressful weeknights when you just need to eat until you hate yourself. These are the times that I go to Burger to Go, and I’ve never been disappointed. The building looks a little sketchy — and to be honest, the fact that they serve everything from Burgers to Gyros to Tacos doesn’t help ease your mind. But give it a shot and you’ll realize that it’s made-to-order, fresh food. And cheap! Burgers: option of having grilled or fresh onions/mushrooms/etc. — kind of like a mini Five Guys. Burritos: not authentic, pretty Americanized — but good! I usually scrap their hot-sauce, which I’m not a fan of, for some Cholula. Tacos: small, street-truck style. Super cheap and pretty authentic. Gyro: if you REALLY need to «hate-eat», and don’t care about the calories you’re about to consume, you can’t go wrong with this. French Fries: amazing. Probably my favorite part — thin and crispy, and you can tell that they come from potatoes. I’ve been on the Paleo plan for about 4 months now and once a month I give myself a «fat day» — I’ve come here for 3 of my last 4 fat days.

I have yet to have one of the burgers here. What I have had consistently are the taquitos which are above reproach and the beans and rice are absofabuliciously scrumpdeliciosos! Well, I recently heard that they make a dynamite gyro sandwich so I had to go check it out. I whipped the l’il red wagon into Drive and off we went for Greek sandwiches at a Mexican joint. They’re always quick to take your order, polite and friendly. I got my sandwich in no time stuffed to the max in a soft, chewy pita with a nice, thick tzitziki sauce and red onions. Served with French fries the gyro was damned good for a fast food joint and considering that Greek is not their specialty it’s interesting to note that the quality and taste of the sandwich was above average. I just wish Burgers to Go were open late on Fridays and Saturdays.

Great place. Tasty food with good variety. Reasonable prices. Will continue to eat the great ‘carnitas’ tacos here for a long time to come :)

4.5 Stars: Looking for something quick and easy to eat tonight, my wife and I checked Unilocal and went to Burger to Go. It’s in our neighborhood but we hadn’t paid attention to it; we weren’t even sure we’d seen it. We won’t do that again! As other reviews said, it’s a mash up of hamburger joint and taco stand(with gyros too but these weren’t tried). I found the upholstery may be needing a touch up but it was clean and nice inside for a fast cheap food joint. It was all very tasty, the rice was nicely seasoned, the tacos thin and crispy, the refried beans nicely mashed(not mushified), the salsa and guac was great, the carnitas very flavorful, and the cheeseburger was juicy and flavorful. Oh yeah the French fries were crisp and had a nice potato flavor. All for $ 20. Check it out for good and cheap food!

A buddy and I decided to go for a drive through kck. Burger to go was one of our marked destinations. Thanks Unilocalers for that. The quick version: very solid food for a great price. The long version: Burger to go is more a less a fusion of mexican cuisine, and american food. I ordered a double cheeseburger meal and a carnitas street taco. The burger was pretty tasty. It came with onion, lettuce, a big mac esque sauce, and slice of american cheese. I don’t like maters on my burger so I opted out. You could tell the quality of beef was high. The fries were thin and crispy and had a nice potato flavor. The street taco was pretty awesome. The corn tortilla was fresh, carnitas were loaded with flavor, and it came with a slice of lime and salsa. The best part of the meal by far was the price. I spent a little over eight dollars for my combo and taco. The review gets four stars for a seeming lack of ac in their building. It’s a little too hot for that kind of nonsense. However, you can bypass that problem by using their drivethrough.

At first glance, Burger To Go seems like a sketchy place and possibly a grease factory, but it’s neither of those things. They have a schizophrenic menu — half Cancun Fiesta Fresh half Sonic, but it works really well when you need a little something to line the belly and prep it for drinking at Johnnie’s on 7th later on. Their street tacos are delicious and authentic and have been served hot and fresh every time I’ve ordered them. Sometimes the service is a bit slow, but it’s worth the wait. Don’t let the sorta weird building dissuade you… next time you’re hungry in KCK give them a shot.

Everything from my previous review still stands, but they appear to have scaled back their hours. They first referred to them as «winter hours,» but then winter was over and summer came, and the hours were never restored to their original configuration. Now, for the winter of 2010−2011(which is now into its 17th month), they close at 10pm Sun-Th, and midnight Fri-Sat. That makes me sad, but it would make me much, much sadder if the best burger in Central Time became entirely unavailable. So I’ll accept the lack of late night hours in exchange for continued burger excellence.

I used to eat here for lunch when I was in high school and it was Checkers. I have past this place a few times commenting on it being a Checkers years ago and did not think much of stopping to try it. Reading the 3 reviews posted on Unilocal I told my husband about it and that we should try it. We got there around 12:30 and ordered a single cheeseburger meal and a double bacon burger meal. They give you the choice of grilled or regular onions(Thought that was nice to have the option) as well as regular or curly fries. We ordered one reg. fry and one curly to try both. We both liked the curly fry better. The cheeseburgers were really good! Very juicy and cooked just right. They have a house dressing that tasted like a mayo mixed with maybe ketchup. Not really sure but it went well with the hamburger. I would recommend anyone to try it. We look forward to going back and trying other options. They also have some Mexican food options.(Burritos, taco’s. etc) I added some photos so check them out.

Fantastic local burger take out. Burgers are fresh and juicy with yummy toppings. You can get a few different type of fries all crispy and just how you like them. Shake was fresh and didn’t taste like the artificial liquid crap most places serve.

Ok, so I’m not sure if the ownership of this place has changed in the last few months, but it is now not only an amazing fast-food burger joint but gets the added bonus of being a Cancun Fiesta Fresh combo. I’m not even sure what the name is now, because the Burger to Go sign is still prominent, but the parking lot has a vinyl banner claiming«Cancun Fiesta Fresh now open.» ANYWAY, it doesn’t matter what you call it. If you are on Central Avenue and want a burger, or a shake, or some incredible curly fries, this is the place to go. If you order street tacos they’ll hook you up with some pickled carrots/radish/jalapeño, which is what makes this win for a drive-thru. I am honestly addicted to the curly fries, which are 1.89 for a huge order. Open late and on the way home after a night out, this is bad news.

Not only do they have old time-y classic burger style burgers(chocolate malt, anyone?), they also have authentic chicken quesadillas served with home made guacamole and pico!!! How can you get any better than that?
