As a wine club member I am thoroughly pissed off. We just came down here had no idea they closed we had a bunch of stuff in our locker we had just paid money to renew our locker and we had no notice of their closure. Supposedly they sent a letter to all members but we didn’t get one so they didn’t try too hard to contact us. Not only did we have a bunch of wine in our locker but a gift from the Orlando Magic. Anyone know how to get a hold of them to retrieve our stuff

They have a great selection of wine and the prices are fair. What I don’t understand is the service model — or should I say lack of service. The pizza was OK, but we were one of 2 tables of people for lunch on a Saturday, while they had 4 people working who varied from totally ignoring us to being annoyed by our presence. After trying for quite some time to get one of the hostesses attention for a box for our remaining pizza, I finally walked up to her to ask. I was told that if I wanted something I was to come up to the counter to them to ask, they do not bring it to you. Really? Let’s just say my tip reflected the level of service I received.

Went tonight to use my groupon and found a sign on the door written on a sheet of paper that they were«closed until further notice».

Nothing wrong with this place if you like this kind of atmosphere. The pizza toppings were good, and so was the cheese bread. The pizza crust was ok, but nothing special, typical flatter crust, but not quite cracker flat. The cellar was interesting and had a variety of wines, beers, and whiskey you could buy. I am not unhappy to have gone, but doubt I will ever frequent this place as it just isn’t my type of hangout.

I joined the Cellar and Loft Wine Club about 8 months ago, and have been extremely pleased by the wines that are delivered ON my doorstep every month, the friendly and knowledgeable staff, and by the amazing weekly specials that they have EVERY day. The space is so warm and inviting, and their pizza is great too! I was a member of another wine club for the exact same price for the same amount of wine a month, and I am SO happy I dropped them and switched to Cellar and Loft.

Such a neat and cozy restaurant. Prices are great, especially the Groupon deals, food is amazing and the workers are so nice! This place is so unique, make sure to check out the basement while you’re there.

I came to Cellar and Loft with a Groupon. The Groupon was a REALLYGOODDEAL — it came with a bottle of house wine, a large pizza, and an appetizer. We had the Italian meat pizza and the meat and cheese platter. The apps might be a little skimpy to pay full price for them, but again, this Groupon made it such a good deal that I have no complaints. It was my first time at Cellar and Loft and I’d love to go back if they have an event or something. Wine tasting in their downstairs space would be so fun!

When the first and last impression of a business is/are the persons at the entrance(hosts/hostess), it seems advisable to insure they are engaged and friendly. What we experienced was(3) hostesses that were frosty, unhelpful, aloof, and I am sorry, just flat out stupid! If it was the«Groupon Snub», then these«20-somethings» need to be informed by ownership the importance of NOT differentiating customers that may, or may not redeem these offers. The ceiling fan above the table where we were seated was WAY too frickin’ high! When we insisted on another table, what we received was NOT accomadation, but snark. We would like to mention the outstanding service from the young man that brought our pie to our table. ADVICE:Fire the trio of air heads occupying space at the host’s station and promote this guy to GM! That having been said… pizza was good, not great(authentic Italian sausage was a treat). Mushroom caps were great! Service was slower than might be expected for a slow night(12 – 15 patrons). This appears to be a haven for wine lovers, so give it a try if that kind of thing floats your boat. If a warm and inviting neighborhood haunt is more to your liking, you may do well to pass this place by… 71 out of 100

It’s alright. Not fantastic, but not terrible. We used a Groupon for a large pizza, appetizer, and house bottle of wine. We’d never been before, and I was surprised about the lack of seating. I was under the impression that it was an actual restaurant, but it’s actually more of a retail establishment that happens to serve food. The food wasn’t bad, but they use a lot of spices on EVERYTHING. The garlic bread and pizza both tasted like they had dumped a ton of seasonings on them, and I think it hid the taste of what could have been a really great pizza otherwise.

I was a member here for about 6 months, and it was a very disappointing experience. Trying to cancel my membership was like pulling teeth– I cancelled– twice– and they kept charging me! They don’t even have a voicemail set up(how is this possible with a physical business establishment?) and getting them on the phone proved a major hassle. I just found them to be very unresponsive to me once I joined and they had my money. The bottles they sent me every month were just okay– not worth the cost. But it’s the customer service that’s really the problem here.

Cool idea, but think of eating a Red Baron out at a restaurant. Service was slow, almost an hour get pizza to the table. I think it has potential, only if the quality was better.

A few reasons I love this place: The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They regularly have tastings… scotch, wine, beer, etc. It’s a beautiful place. The real beauty is underground, though. The first time I ventured to the basement I felt like I was stepping back in time. SO many bottles and spirits. The floors, low ceilings, the décor. I imagined a throw back to prohibition with a poker table or two, people sitting around smoking cigars, sipping their liquor, laughing. Fantastic! My mom gifted me a year’s membership. I’m not entirely sure what this all consists of yet, but 2 bottles of wine a month is included. I received an e-mail invitation to a scotch tasting and while I’m not a fan of scotch, my boyfriend and mom are. Several people were already gathered around one of the tasting bars. We were given a very detailed list of the offerings and our friendly host poured samples. Again, I’m not a fan of scotch, so I only observed after my first taste. They LOVED it. «Oh, we’ll need a bottle of this!» There’s a kitchen upstairs, gifts and ideas for pairing. Check out their specials, different memberships, and tastings!

As soon as we got there it was slammed! They got 2 large parties and we kind of were forgotten about. Luckily we weren’t in a huge rush and we were enjoying the wine and the baseball game. They felt terrible that our pizza came out before the bruschetta. We didn’t mind. Both were delicious! We had the bambino pizza! We will definitely go back. The only bummer part is the AC is on their patio so you can’t hear the conversation. If it wasn’t there it would have been super romantic! Wish they had a few sidewalk tables.

Bought the $ 11 groupon for pizza and appetizer… Ordered the garlic/cheese bread(a little greasy but tasty), and the Bob Dylan pizza… so yummy! It took about an hour for our pizza to arrive, which was a long time considering not many people were ordering food. However, the wine and environment kept us preoccupied so we didn’t even notice until the food arrived. Unfortunately, we did not end up paying $ 11 but close to $ 50 because it was a Friday night and they had $ 10 wine flights. Ended up buying two bottles of wine, and then two beer flights. Considering all we ate and drank… definitely worth every penny for a laid-back and chill environment. The only thing that was weird was that the place became empty about 9 pm and they close at 10. But that’s kinda how KC is… no one stays up late around here.

Fantastic find! Cool vibe and friendly peeps to hang out with. Our Scotch instructor was witty and agile to answer our questions, read our scrunched up faces when the Scotch was a tad bit strong and give us homemade fudge to quell the chloraseptic taste penetrating my palate. I’ll definitely be stopping by this place again for some tasty treats and smooth drinks.

Weekly pizza specials, beer, wine… what’s not to like! Monday you get a large pizza and bottle of wine for $ 15($ 10 if you’re a wine club member), Tuesday is two small pizzas for $ 6, Thursday is ladies night, Friday and Saturday are wine tastings. All the pizzas and appetizers are made fresh and taste great. There are 24 taps that change in a regular basis. And if that wasn’t enough they carry Christopher Elbow chocolates!

With tastings and specials going on most every night, there’s always a good reason to go by and see this place. Ten dollars for a pizza and bottle of wine on Mondays gets the week started right, and the knowledgeable staff will take you through wine, beer, and scotch tastings.

I always recommend this place to my friends. there are a lot of wine clubs in KC but what sets this place apart is their quality of staff and their knowledge. Not only do they know and love wine, but they offer beer classes and tastings and scotch tastings. I try to makes it to as many of these as possible and usually leave with a bottle in hand! Their food is also very good. They have a small kitchen that offers sandwiches and pizza and light appetizers. its perfect with a glass of wine or one of their many beers on tap. My favorite part about Cellar and Loft is their old, historic building, the downstairs«cellar» and the outside courtyard. I’m a small business owner and this is the perfect place to bring clients and make deals while sipping on wine. I’ve introduced my other small business colleges to Cellar and Loft for this perk alone! It’s classy, fun, and a great way to start a business partnership. This place is the best.
