I was really looking forward to seeing this. I’m into coloring and was hoping to pick up some unique things. The store front is bright and easy to spot. Inside the store is pretty old. It needs a big remodel. The age shows on the store. I was hoping for a more fun environment, but it was lacking. I love the amount of items they have, they are just to scattered around the store. The variety is good. Really good. But for some reason I felt like I was missing something. Like it had a sad worn feeling. It should be organized by coloring products to books to other merchandise. The crayons in the tubes are bleached due to them being in there so long. The way it’s advertised makes it seem like you must stop here. This store has so many possibilities, which is probably why it seems so disappointing. I was expecting more unique one of a kind items. Like extra organized storage for crayons or other items. I won’t give it one star because I really loved the staff. They are very very friendly and that makes the store. They keep the store extremely organized. Nothing’s out of place and they can help you find what your looking for. I was just hoping that a store that has a restaurant would have more to it. Maybe even a video playing of crayons being made in the factory. I will stop back. I hope to see more.

I had no reason to go in and I wasn’t really shopping for any kids I know, but I was still drawn in because of memories from my childhood. Really, they have a few different thing besides just crayons like art paper. This is apparently what they were going for when they opened a line of stores like this, of course. There are some nice art supplies, but, rather unfortunately, there isn’t a wide selection of options. Crayola, while having a few different brands under them, is pretty much good just for crayons. This isn’t an arts supply store, this is a store to buy crayons for kids, which limits its purpose overall. I would think Walmart or an art supply store has more options, honestly.

Pretty cool place to go before or after you go to the Crayola Café. We didn’t buy anything but it was really cool to look and also read all the fun facts on the displays, like that Mr. Rogers was color blind and liked the color Yellow because it was one that he could see really well. I was like HUH I never knew he was color blind. I still love the simple and more connected feeling you get when you color and draw with crayons.

I love Crayola just about as much as a 4 year old, but I was really disappointed in this store. I don’t know if my expectations were too high, but I heard good things about it and was expected to be blown away especially from a specialty store. I liked the displays and the neat information about crayons and the process but it wasn’t spectacular. Ttheir stock was very low among a variety of products and it seemed like all of the things I was interested in were unavailable. In the middle of the day when someone should be putting out more stock no one was. Not to mention, there weren’t any sales associates to help me if I were looking for anything specific. The cashier was nice but she was the only one who I saw working in the store. Also, there wasn’t anything at this store that I couldn’t have bought while out at target.

Kid Heaven? I had to laugh when I read that because I must be a kid then. I(emphasis I) was in heaven at the Crown Plaza Crayola store because there were so many COLORS!!! So many cool Crayola products all in one place. We found special edition crayon packs there that I’ve never seen anywhere else and 6 years later I still get exited about using even though the crayons are just nubs now. The store is so bright and colorful and there’s cool things for the kids to do in the store.

I don’t care how old you are — this store is just FUN. And I think every store for kids should be this specific: a store for crayons and coloring, a store for footballs, a store for barbies — everything magnified in focus. The result of a crayon store can be nothing other than an explosion of color. In its entirety, the Crayola Store is a decadent display of creativity and youth. It was designed as if a three ten year olds were asked to put a store together — it is built to inspire and it does the job. I appreciate most of all the interaction that the store promotes for children. There is a coloring corner with the world’s supply of crayons and paper at the fingertips of the kids who enter the store, maybe with their mom to run errands at Crown Center or maybe after eating at the neighboring Crayola Café. There are stations of Crayola trivia and puzzles and games built throughout the store for kids to ‘find’ while wandering around — if I had visited this place as a kid, I think I would have hidden away there. I would have wanted to live there — it’s paradise for a kid. The women working the counters have that upbeat personality I would assume a crayon sales person to have! They’re energetic and don’t make you feel like a ‘grazer’ if all you do is go in to play for a little while without purchasing anything. Not all of the children’s stores at Crown Center have as kid-friendly a staff as Crayola, let me tell you. I’m thinking of Zoom, across the hall on the second floor, where the cashier could burn a laser with that stare of hers — no thank you lady. They encourage play, they know their merchandise like the back of their hand, they are consistent and I appreciate a store that cultivates such harmless and positive fun. While I was there last week I even saw a kids party in the ‘party room’ of the store, which is made entirely of glass so that the party-goers can see the store while they eat cake and open presents. I never had a birthday anywhere other than my dining room table, so I thought it was pretty cool.

I’m a true kid at heart… at time it’s embarassing how much I like all things childish. My friends stare at me with embarrasment when I get excited like a 12 year old… anyways, I love this store. Usually I need to get out before I start buying unnecessary stuff… if you need crayola items– color pencils, crayons, stuffed animals, chalk, and other souvenir type items this place is great. There is also a lil area where you can color and play around.

If you need any color of crayon, come here. They also have a «café», I did not venture to try it though.

The Crayola Store down in Crown Center is kid heaven. Thank goodness I can still be a kid because this place rocks. The best part about the Crayola has to be the 4 sided coloring easles/walls where you can let your coloring creativity go wild. The whole shop(including the shelves) is spaced out too, just begging for kids to run around back forth. They pretty much endorse the thing. It’s such a fun shop and don’t miss the color wheel. That’s a doozy.
