This place is still a solid option for Cajun food. Visited last night with BF and family. They had not been there before. They had been to Jazz, but both agreed Danny’s is superior. We lucked out that there was no cover charge that night. The music was open mic honoring a recently passed local musician. This was a beautiful, raucous, fun-filled wake, New Orleans style. The caliber of the musicians who played was amazing. A big treat was a guy from the kitchen who belted out some great blues. The crowd was dressed to the nines and friendly as hell. The service was very good, despite the size of the crowd. The food was excellent. Stuffed mushroom appetizer pleased all of us with it’s creamy, rich sauce. Two got burgers and really enjoyed them. BF went for the crawfish platter again. Loved it. I had to go for the stuffed catfish again, even though I don’t actually like catfish. This is a nice dish, subtle and rich and luxurious. This is the only place I order catfish. All told, the bill with an appetizer, 4 entrees and six drinks came to around $ 100. Good value for a fun-filled night out.

What a hoot! Great time, fantastic music, the best vibe! You will sing, dance and feel touched while visiting Danny’s Big Easy! The live music performance gave me chills. Great place to visit if you’re both a local and/or visiting. Staff is friendly, the place is very laid back and chill!

I stopped in for lunch, based on the reviews and was greeted with a smile. I ordered some gumbo and found it to be absolutely delicious! I look forward to going back sometime in the evening for the food and live music!
