I have mixed feelings about this place — it seems to be a great spot for local artists to showcase and there is a cute little coffee shop up front that also serves booze.(Think Starbucks prices.) I came in for the open studio which may be why I was underwhelmed with the whole process. I’d bought groupons for my mom and I to make a mosaic. We got there and they explained the process and then let us work. I didn’t need a lot of instruction, so that was nice to be able to talk and work outside a traditional«class». I then had to come back to grout the mosaic a couple days later and that was not as easy of a process. I’d asked about time and she told me I could do it in about an hour, but it was really closer to two hours(over lunch) and the younger woman that works there seemed almost irritated that I was asking questions about how long it was going to take. They had one other walk-in while I was there and she seemed a little friendlier toward them. I did like the variety of the projects you could do — fabric, painting, mosaic, jewelry. The pricing seemed comparable to other places that offer similar projects. The location in NKC is a great central spot if you are having people meet from all over town.

Dare to Dabble is a wonderful place to spend an evening trying your hand at artistry! On this particular cool December night while Christmas music is playing in the background, I’m sipping on Baileys and coffee. Spending a wonderful evening with my wife and my business partner and our best friends painting a mirror of the plaza lights. This is Christmas! Merry Christmas, everyone needs to come here.

What a blast! This was my first time doing anything like this and I still can’t believe how good my painting turned out. This place is a MUST for anyone looking for some fun in a relaxing atmosphere and their amazing instructors will make you feel right at home.
